The Department of Advanced Imaging Centre at IIT Kanpur is seeking applications for the position of Project Engineer on a temporary, contractual basis for one year, with the possibility of extension based on performance and need. The ideal candidate should possess a B.Tech degree with at least three years of relevant experience, with a strong emphasis on operating HRTEM and SEM equipment, along with maintenance skills for analytical instruments.
Additional experience in sample preparation equipment such as Ultra Microtome, Vitrobot, and TEM Mill is highly preferred. The candidate should demonstrate a strong background in resolving technological challenges and exhibit promising problem-solving approaches.
The salary scale for the position is Rs. 26400-2200-66000, and the duration of appointment may be extended based on performance. Qualifications Details for IIT Kanpur Recruitment 2024
- B.Tech + 3 years relevant exp.
- B.Tech with strong knowledge to operate of HRTEM (Transmission Electron Microscope) and SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope).
- The candidate should also have knowledge with maintenance of analytical equipment’s and should have at least 4-5 years’ experience in relevant field.
- The candidate should have strong background on dealing with technological problems and an understanding of promising approaches to their solutions. He should have experience of sample preparation equipment’s like Ultra Microtome, Vitrobot, and TEM Mill etc. will be highly preferred.
