IIT Jammu Recruitment 2024 Check Post, Selection, And How To Apply

The Department of Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Jammu invites applications for five internship positions under the VRITIKA event titled "Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface for Future Generation Wireless Communication Systems.

The internship, sanctioned by Accelerate Vigyan, SERB, is open to students pursuing or having completed a B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech./M.S./M.S.(R) degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or equivalent streams. The duration is four to eight weeks, with applicants needing at least a 6.0 CGPA or 60% marks from a recognized technical university/institute.

Essential qualifications include a letter of authentication from a supervisor/institute, and desirable qualifications involve a good academic record, relevant experience, and familiarity with analysis and design software. The internship covers daily expenses, offers TA reimbursement, and provides a certificate upon completion. Applications must be submitted online by April 19, 2024, and selected candidates will be notified via email and posted on the IIT Jammu website by April 25, 2024.

Qualification for IIT Jammu Recruitment 2024

• Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or equivalent streams.
• Additionally, candidates pursuing or holding a Master of Engineering (M.E.), Master of Technology (M.Tech.), Master of Science (M.S.), or Master of Science by Research (M.S.(R)) degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or equivalent streams are eligible.
  Candidates must have attained a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 6.0 on a 10-point scale or secured at least 60 percent marks in their qualifying degree.
• This qualification must be obtained from a recognized technical university or institute where the program was pursued as a full-time endeavour.
• Good academic record and experience in the relevant areas of specializations. Valid GATE score in relevant engineering stream.
• Strong background and understanding of analysis and design software.
• Understanding of HFSS/CST/ADS and other electromagnetic solver tools Publication(s) in recognized national/international conferences and journals of repute

Nature of Support for IIT Jammu Recruitment 2024

• The internship will be given for meeting daily necessary expenses such as stationery, consumables, accommodation, food, etc as per the norms of the funding agency.
• The period of the Training and Skill Internship shall be for four to eight weeks.
• The participating students will also be eligible for TA reimbursement for their journey to the host institute from their hometown/home institute, both ways, as per the GoI norms.
• Certificates will be provided to the interns after the successful completion of the internship tenure.

Selection for IIT Jammu Recruitment 2024

• Mere possessing the prescribed qualification does not ensure the selection of candidates.
• The candidates will be selected on the basis of merit and the requirements of the event.
• Only selected candidates will be informed by email (apart from the information uploaded on the website), therefore the candidates must provide valid E-mail IDs in their applications.

How to Apply for IIT Jammu Recruitment 2024

• Duly filled application form along with the requested details, scanned copies of certificates, and other supporting documents including the letter of authentication should be uploaded through the online portal (https://apply.iitjammu.ac.in/#/home) latest by 19th April, 2024.
• Please apply through the [Contract Staff] tab on the referred application portal.
• The applications will be screened and the candidates will be selected on merit basis.
• The list of selected candidates will be posted on the IIT Jammu website (www.iitjammu.ac.in)by 25th April, 2024.
• The applicant will be responsible for the authenticity of information, other documents and photographs submitted.
• Incomplete applications (in any sense) will not be considered for screening.
• The Institute reserves the right to accept the application at any time and consider candidates with exceptional credentials without applications. Qualification and experience may be relaxed by theInstitute at any point of time for otherwise exceptional candidates.
• Selected candidates will have to acknowledge and accept the internship offer through return email, failing which the waitlisted candidates may be called for the internship.
• The last date for receiving the duly filled in application is 19th April, 2024, through an online portal.

• No stipend will be given.
