Applications are invited from motivated and eligible candidates for a JRF position in the SERBDST research project “Flexoelectric effects in dielectric solids and membranes: Exploring the numerical simulation and experimental studies for energy harvesting applications.”

Brief description of the project: Objective of the project is investigating mechanical behaviour of the elastic solids and membranes considering piezoelectric and flexoelectric effects through finite element and atomistic simulation. The in-house computer programs need to be developed for finite element simulation. Experimental studies on energy harvesting are also part of the proposed project.

IIT Indore Recruitment 2024 Qualifications, Pay Scale Details

• M.E/M.Tech. or equivalent degree in Design Engineering/Applied Mechanics/Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering discipline (with at least 60% marks or first class or equivalent).
• Candidates should have a sound knowledge of the strength of materials, mechanical vibrations, and machine design and computer programming (such as MATLAB). A GATE qualification is mandatory, but a valid GATE is not required.
• Duration: The appointment will be for 1 year initially, and based on the performance of the candidate, tenure can be extended up to three years.
• Admission to PhD Program: Candidates may also be considered for admission to the Ph.D. program under FA category depending upon the eligibility criteria given by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Indore
• Stipend: (i) Rs 37,000/- per month (for first two years) + HRA as per funding agency norms. (ii) Rs 42,000/- per month (for third year) + HRA as per funding agency norms.

Selection process for IIT Indore Recruitment 2024

Online interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. Selected candidates will be intimated by email for an interview. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview. Interviews are likely to be conducted around June 11, 2024.
