The Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, is seeking applications for a Research Associate (Postdoctoral Fellow) position funded by the Indo-French Centre for the Promotion of Advanced Research (IFCPAR/CEFIPRA). The project focuses on developing a Multi-functional Two-micron Ultrafast Fiber Laser for High-Precision Biomedical applications.
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Physics or Electrical Engineering with expertise in Photonics, Optics, or lasers, and those with research or industrial experience in photonics, fiber optics, or lasers will be preferred. Proficiency in advanced numerical simulation in ultrafast Optics/Nonlinear Optics and experimental experience in Fiber laser/Optics is highly desirable, with working knowledge in Machine Learning being preferable.
The successful candidate should be able to work in French labs in France as part of the project and should not have any travel restrictions abroad. The upper age limit is 35 years, with age relaxation as per Government of India norms. The stipend offered is INR 58,000 per month plus 24% HRA, as per DST norms, for a duration of one year initially, with the possibility of extension based on satisfactory performance.
