Applications are invited for the position of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) on a research project titled "Accidental Eccentricity due to Torsional Ground Motion—Understanding and Developing Design Recommendations" funded by SERB, DST, Government of India, at Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar.
The SRF will receive a consolidated monthly pay of ₹35,000/- plus HRA @24% if applicable. Candidates should have an ME/MTech or equivalent degree in Civil Engineering with qualifications through GATE or BE/BTech with two years of research experience, along with proficiency in Matlab programming and a strong background in Structural Dynamics and Earthquake Engineering.
The appointment is initially for one year, extendable based on performance. Interested candidates should submit their applications via email to Dr. Dhiman Basu, Associate Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Gandhinagar, by April 30, 2024.

Qualification for IIT Gandhinagar Recruitment 2024
- The candidate should have ME/MTech / equivalent degree in Civil (Structural) Engineering; or BE/BTech / equivalent degree in Civil Engineering with two years of research after the degree.
- The candidate must be qualified through GATE or equivalent examination.
- Strong background in Structural Dynamics and Earthquake Engineering;
- Exposure to Engineering Seismology; and
- Proficiency in Matlab Programming.
