Indian nationals are invited to apply for a Project Appointment focusing on the design and development of a wearable exosuit for upper limb augmentation, within the "Wearable soft robotics for Upper Limb Muscle Power Augmentation with BMI interface" project funded by DRDO Ministry of Defence. Led by Prof. Sitikantha Roy, the project involves interdisciplinary collaboration in mechanics, robotics, and controls.
The selected candidate will contribute to learning-based control systems and musculoskeletal model simulations for soft wearable robots. Qualifications include a Ph.D./MD or equivalent degree in relevant fields with a good publication record, or an MSc/ME/MS/MTech with six years of experience in soft materials/actuators or computational biomechanics.
Familiarity with MATLAB/Python is essential, while knowledge of open Sim software and soft robotics design/modeling is desirable. Responsibilities encompass designing the exosuit for assistive applications through modeling and prototype development. Qualifications Details for IIT Delhi Recruitment 2024
Ph.D./MD or equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Biomedical Engineering/ Aerospace Engineering / Applied Mechanics/ Instrumentation Engineering with first class (60%) or equivalent at all the preceding degrees and certificates along with good publication record in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) Journal.
OR MSc/ME/MS/MTech in Mechanical /Biomedical/ Aerospace/Applied Mechanics/ Instrumentation Engineering with first class (60%) or equivalent at all the preceding degrees and certificates, and having six years of research, teaching experience in characterization and design of soft materials/actuators, computational mechanics, smart materials. or large deformation modelling, with at least one good publication in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) Journal.
Experience in computational biomechanics or musculoskeletal modelling Familiarity with programming languagein any of MATLAB/Python language is necessary Desirable skills: Knowledge of open Sim software is desirable Some basic familiarity with large deformation analysis, soft actuators design/modelling or understanding ofsoft roboticswill be given high priority. Pay Scale for IIT Delhi Recruitment 2024
- IIT Delhi is seeking a Research Associate for a single position, offering a consolidated fellowship of Rs. 58,000 per month along with 24% House Rent Allowance (HRA). The job location is in Delhi. The Research Associate will be responsible for various research activities within the institute.
- 5% relaxation of marks may be granted to the SC/ST Candidates. In case of selection of a retired/superannuated government employe, his/her salary will be fixed as per prevailing IRD norms.
