IIT Delhi Recruitment 2024 Notification Out Junior Research Fellow Vacancies, Check Eligibility at ird.iitd.ac.in
The Department of Energy Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi is seeking applications from Indian nationals for a Junior Research Fellow position on a contractual basis for a project titled "Nonlinear wave-based models to study the ion and electron scale turbulence in laboratory and space plasmas" funded by the Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB).
The project, led by Prof. (Mrs.) R. Uma, is scheduled to run until June 28, 2026. The selected candidate will receive a consolidated fellowship of Rs. 37,000 per month plus 27% House Rent Allowance (HRA). The qualifications required include an M.Sc. in Physics with knowledge of Plasma Physics, with at least 65% marks, along with NET/GATE qualification.

Qualifications Details for IIT Delhi Recruitment 2024
- M.Sc. in Physics (Knowledge of Plasma Physics) with 65% and *NET/GATE qualified. Knowledge of numerical simulation (using FORTRAN, MATLAB etc.) and one year of research experience in the relevant field is desirable.
- The requirement of NET/GATE examination for the selection to the post of JRF/SRF may be relaxed for the candidates who have graduated from Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFT|s) with a CGPA of more than 8.000 (80% aggregate marks).
Pay Scale for IIT Delhi Recruitment 2024
Indian nationals are invited to apply for a Project Appointment at IIT Delhi for the position of Junior Research Fellow. The appointment is contractual, with a consolidated salary of Rs. 37,000/- per month, subject to periodic performance reviews. The appointment is renewable yearly or until the duration of the project, whichever comes earlier.
