Applications are sought from Indian Nationals for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to contribute to the research project titled "Numerical studies on the deformation behavior of different FCC-BCC alloys subjected to quasi-static loading and ballistic impact," funded by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Government of India, for a duration of 3 years.
The position is temporary and aligned with the project's timeline. One position is available initially for one year, extendable up to 2 more years or the project's duration, whichever is earlier. The monthly salary is 37,000 INR consolidated with 18% House Rent Allowance (HRA), following Government of India norms.
Candidates must hold a B.Tech/B.E./M.E./M.Tech. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production/Design/Manufacturing Engineering, Applied Mechanics, Metallurgy, Materials Science, or related fields with First Division at both the graduate and postgraduate levels. Preference will be given to those with qualifications such as GATE/NET, experience with programming tools and finite element simulation packages, knowledge of computational tools, CAD modeling, finite element analysis, and prior experience in computational mechanics.

Qualifications Details for IIT Bhubaneswar Recruitment 2024
- B.Tech/B.E./M.E./M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering, Production/Design/Manufacturing Engineering, Applied Mechanics, Metallurgy, Materials Science, or any allied branches with First Division both at Graduate and Post graduate level.
- Qualified GATE/NET, Candidates having work experience with programming tools (C/MATLAB/FORTRAN) and finite element simulation packages (ABAQUS, etc). Knowledge of computational tools and packages, Knowledge of CAD modeling and finite element analysis. Any prior experience in computational mechanics The candidate with the above-mentioned qualifications will be given a preference
