The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) BHU is inviting applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) with one available post, located in Varanasi. The salary ranges from Rs. 37,000 to Rs. 42,000 per month, with an upper age limit of 28 years, and age relaxation for reserved category candidates as per government rules.
The position is initially for one year but can be extended up to two more years or the duration of the project, whichever is earlier, based on performance. Candidates must have a graduate degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Metallurgy, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Production Engineering with GATE/NET qualification, or a postgraduate degree in a professional course (M.E./M.Tech/M.S.) in the same fields with first division at both graduate and postgraduate levels.
Research experience in mechanical property evaluation, microstructural characterization, and mechanical behavior is required. Qualifications Details for IIT BHU Recruitment 2024
- Graduate degree (B.E./B. Tech) in Metallurgy/Materials Science and Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/Production Engineering in First Division with GATE/NET. or
- Postgraduate degree in professional course (M.E./M.Tech/M.S.) in Metallurgy/Materials Science and Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/Production Engineering in First Division both at graduate and postgraduate level.
- Qualified GATE/NET
- Research experience in any of the following: Mechanical property evaluation, Microstructural characterization and Mechanical behavior.
