The Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi announces a recruitment drive for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for a Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) sponsored project. The project focuses on "Design and development of an indigenous inert gas atomization-based powder production equipment" and spans a total duration of 4 years.
The JRF position is initially for one year, extendable up to three more years or the project's duration, based on performance. Candidates with M.E./M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering or related fields are eligible to apply, with preference given to those with GATE/NET qualification and relevant work experience.

Qualification for IIT BHU Recruitment 2024
- M.E./M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering, Production/Manufacturing Engineering, Design, Thermal, Metallurgy, Material Science or any allied branches with First Division both at Graduate and Post graduate level.
- Qualified GATE/NET.
- Candidates having work experience in powder metallurgy/powder manufacturing.
- Knowledge of characterization techniques such as XRD, SEM, TEM, Raman, FTIR, etc.,
- Knowledge of CAD modelling, CFD and FE analysis.
- Any prior experience in machine tool development.
- The candidate with above mentioned qualifications will be given preference
