The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram (IISER-TVM) is seeking applications for the position of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) on a contract basis. The project titled "Neural-network quantum state (NQS) based variational wavefunction for strongly correlated electron systems" is funded by SERB.

Applicants must hold an M.Sc. in Physics with a minimum of 55% marks, along with a CSIR/UGC-NET/GATE qualification, and possess at least 2 years of research experience in related areas. Desirable qualifications include specialization in Condensed Matter Physics and proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and Python.

The position offers a fellowship amount of Rs. 35,000/- plus HRA, with a tenure until 18th March 2025. Applicants should be aged 30 years or below, with relaxations applicable to SC/ST/OBC and differently-abled candidates as per Government of India norms.

• Shortlisting of candidates is done by the Selection Committee constituted for this purpose, if the number of applications received is high. Shortlisting is done taking into consideration the qualifications and experience over and above the minimum prescribed in the advertisement
