IISER Bhopal has announced recruitment for the position of Senior Research Fellow. The recruitment notification was released with details regarding the number of posts, qualifications required, salary, age limit, selection process, and application procedure. Qualification: Applicants should have an M.Sc. in Life Sciences or related subjects with a minimum of two years of research experience in fields such as epigenetics, RNA biology, cancer biology, or NGS data analysis. Candidates should meet one of the following conditions .
The salary offered for the position is Rs. 35,000/- per month. HRA at 16% shall be permissible in case of non-availability of hostel accommodation. The maximum age limit is 30 years for general candidates at the time of application, with relaxation of 5 years for SC and ST candidates and persons with physical disabilities.
Application Procedure: Interested candidates are required to apply using the Google Form link provided in the notification. Incomplete applications or those not meeting the minimum criteria will not be considered. The deadline for application submission is April 15, 2024. Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email for an interview. Additional screening criteria such as desirable experience may be applied based on the number of applications. No TA/DA will be provided for the interview. The selected candidate will be expected to join immediately upon notification.

IISER Bhopal Recruitment 2024 Qualification
- Applicants should have an M.Sc. in Life Sciences or related subjects with minimum two years of research experience in epigenetics/RNA biology/Cancer biology/NGS data analysis or related fields.
- The candidate should also meet either of the two following conditions.
- Qualified National Eligibility Test – UGC NET /CSIR/NBHM etc. including lectureship (Assistant Professorship)
- Selected through a National level examination conducted by MHRD or its agencies /Institutions such as UGC/ IIT/ IISc./ IISER/ IIIT etc.
- Prior experience with cancer research and molecular biology techniques. Candidates with experience in the analysis of next-generation sequencing data/ R programming for statistical computing/ RNA work/chromatin biology are encouraged to apply. All applicants should have good communication skills and be proficient in spoken and written English.
