The Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy in Visakhapatnam invites applications for a Project Associate - I position under a SERB-DST sponsored project led by Dr. M Ravi Kiran. The project aims to synthesize C3-C4 olefins from ethanol.
The selected candidate will be responsible for procuring, fabricating, and assembling necessary equipment, as well as developing an experimental test facility for catalytic fixed bed gas phase experiments, data generation, interpretation, and report writing.
The essential qualification is a B.Tech/B.E in Chemical, Petrochemical, or Electrochemical Engineering, with final-year students eligible to apply. Desirable qualifications include experience in handling gas phase reactions using fixed catalytic reactors and material synthesis. The age limit is 35 years with age relaxation as per Government of India norms. The fellowship offered is Rs.25,000/- with 16% HRA, and the initial appointment is for 12 months, with possible extensions based on performance.
