The Misra Centre for Financial Markets and Economy (MCFME) at IIM Ahmedabad is seeking a full-time Financial Data Analyst (Research Associate) to assist in researching various financial and economic issues at both Indian and global levels. The role involves tasks such as gathering and organizing financial and economic data from diverse sources, crafting analytical reports and presentations, and providing support on a range of research and policy matters.
Candidates are required to hold a Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field from top-tier institutions, with exceptional grades. Alternatively, consideration will be given to those with a Master's or 4-year bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Data Science, coupled with at least one year of experience in the finance industry.

Qualifications Details for IIM Ahmedabad Recruitment 2024
- Applicants must have a Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field (from top-tier institutions) with outstanding grades. Candidates with the intention of pursuing doctoral studies are highly encouraged to apply
- Consideration will also be given to candidates with a Master's or 4-year bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Data Science with at least one year experience in the finance industry.
- Applicants must have strong quantitative analysis skills and sound knowledge of data and applied statistics. Coding/writing programs with econometric software such as STATA or R is desirable
- Familiarity with financial and economic databases such as Prowess, Compustat, CEIC, IMF, World Bank etc. is desirable, but not mandatory
- Applicants must be self-motivated with excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and should be able to work in a team environment.
Pay Scale for IIM Ahmedabad Recruitment 2024
The position is initially available for an eleven-month period and is subject to extension based on performance, determined by the Centre's discretion. Salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience, ensuring fair compensation.
