IIITA invites application for the posts of Assistant Professor (Grade-I) on regular positions and Assistant Professor (Grade-II) on contract, from individuals having Doctoral degree from Institutions/Universities in India and from abroad, with conforming academic credentials, demonstrable high quality research, and committed leadership in innovative teaching-learning, under 4-Tier-Flexible Faculty Structure, addressing the needs of the disciplines/departments of Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Applied Sciences and Management Studies.

Qualification for IIITA Recruitment 2024
- Essential Educational Qualification and Experience for Assistant Professor Grade-II and Assistant Professor Grade-I
- Assistant Professor Grade-II: Ph.D., Ph.D. with 1 year of post Ph.D. experience
- Assistant Professor Grade-I: Ph.D. with 3 years of post Ph.D. experience OR 6 years of total experience (not counting Ph.D. enrollment period) after obtaining appropriate Masters degree – M.Tech. OR equivalent degree.
Application Fee for IIITA Recruitment 2024
The applicants shall be required to pay Rs. 1180/- (including 18% GST) as application fee through the option of net banking and debit/credit card, etc. Candidates belonging to SC, ST and PWD shall not require to pay any application fee.
No other mode of payment will be accepted except online mode; and applications, with a non-online mode of payment, will be rejected forthright and the payment made shall be forfeited.
Selection Procedure for IIITA Recruitment 2024
- After the screening and short-listing of applications by the designated Screening Committee based on the Institute’s criteria, shortlisted candidates will be invited for an in-person presentation and interview with the Statutory Selection Committee.
- Appointment letters will be issued based on the Committee’s recommendations and the Board of Governors' approval.
- Meeting the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee selection or an invitation to the interview process.
- The Institute reserves the right to limit the number of candidates for interviews based on qualifications, eligibility, experience, and academic achievements above the minimum requirements.
- The Institute may also apply additional criteria to restrict the number of candidates and decide on the specialization areas needed by different departments.
- The Institute’s decisions are final and binding, and it may relax criteria for exceptionally outstanding candidates. Specialization relevant to departmental needs will significantly impact the selection process.
IIITA Recruitment 2024 Last Date to Apply
- The candidates are required to take a print out of completely filled application and send to the below mentioned address along with all supporting documents (academic, experience, category etc.) in a closed envelope on or before the last date of the submission of application. Post applied for, advertisement no. and candidate name should be clearly written at the envelope.
- To, Joint Registrar (Establishment) Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad Deoghat, Jhalwa, Prayagraj-211015 (U.P.) India “Last date of Receipt of duly completed application (Hard copy) at the Institute is September 25th, 2024, Wednesday by 6:00 PM”.
- Incomplete/ partially filled application forms will not be considered. The decision of the Institute authorities in such cases will be final.
- The applicants are required to upload all the supporting documents mandatory to complete the applications
- Applicants who are employed in Government or Semi-Government Organizations should apply through proper channel or produce a "No Objection Certificate" from their employer at the time of presentation/interview
