The Indian Institute of Engineering Science & Technology Shibpur (IIESTS) is inviting applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF). The vacancy is for one position located in Howrah. Desirable qualifications include hands-on experience in Nuclear Physics.
The salary for the JRF position is Rs. 52,080 per month, along with benefits such as HRA and other allowances. The maximum age limit is 28 years, with relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and female candidates. Position, Vacancy for IIESTS Recruitment 2024
Qualification for IIESTS Recruitment 2024
Essential Qualification:
M.Sc. in Physics with B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Physics from a recognized University/Institute with minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale (throughout from class X to the qualifying degree) are eligible to apply for the JRF positions with valid GATE NET. For SC/ST category, a minimum 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on 10 point scale (throughout from class X to the qualifying degree) is required with valid GATE/ NET.
Desirable Qualification: Candidate with hands on experience in the field of Nuclear Physics will be preferred.
Pay Scale for IIESTS Recruitment 2024
Fellowship: For JRF [Rs. 37000/- + Rs. 8880/-CHRA@24%) = Total Rs. 45880/- per month for the first 2 years] and [Rs. 42,000/- + Rs. 10080/- (HRA@24%) = Total Rs. 52080/- per month for the third year] Other Benefits: The selected candidates are eligible to register for PhD degree at lIEST, Shipur as per institute rules. However, s(he) needs to apply for PhD position when the advertisement is open.
Age Limit for IIESTS Recruitment 2024
Age Limit: Maximum 28 years, (Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC and Woman candidates). Duration: 3 years [up to March 2027 or till the project continues whichever is earlier]
