Qualifications Details for IGMC Shimla Recruitment 2024
- Post Graduate (MD/MS) or DNB in the concerned specialty from a University/ Institution recognized/ permitted by the NMC/ Dental Council of India (DCI); failing which the PG Diploma (MD/MS) in the concerned specialty recognized/ permitted by the NMC/ DCI.
- Recognized MD/MS/DNB in the concerned specialty or qualifications as prescribed in the concerned specialty by the Himachal Pradesh Medical Education Service Rules notified by the State Government from time to time and as per norms prescribed by the NMC.
- Provided that the percentage of Tutor Specialists in non-clinical subjects from non-medical backgrounds shall not exceed the limit prescribed as per the norms fixed by NMC.
Age Limit for IGMC Shimla Recruitment 2024
Candidates aged 45 years and below are eligible for consideration, with the upper age limit waived for those already employed by the Government, including those serving on ad-hoc or contract bases. However, such in-service candidates must have a minimum of five years of service remaining at the time of their appointment as Senior Resident/Tutor Specialist. This provision ensures that eligible candidates within the specified age bracket and employment status can be considered for these roles.
Pay Scale for IGMC Shimla Recruitment 2024
GDOs continuing their emoluments and pay, along with applicable allowances and increments, during the Senior Residency period is assured. Direct candidates entering as Senior Resident/Tutor Specialist in Government Medical Colleges post their mandatory field posting (as per policy detailed in letter No.: HFW-B(F)4-9/2017-II dated 27-02-2019 or its subsequent iterations) are eligible for Senior Resident pay. For those directly joining as Senior Resident/Tutor Specialist:
- 1st year: Rs.60,000/- per month (fixed).
- 2nd year: Rs.62,500/- per month (fixed).
- 3rd year: Rs.65,000/- per month (fixed).
This ensures clarity and consistency in pay structures for Senior Residents.
