Qualification for ICMR Recruitment 2024

Jr. Medical Officer :

• Essential: MBBS/BAMS/BDS Degree from a recognized university and registration in the respective medical/A YUSH/dental council and willing to work in the field and able to understand local language.
• Desirable : Masters in Public Health OR minimum of one year of experience in field or community studies

Project Senior Research Fellow:

• Essential: M.Sc. Food & Nutrition with two years Research Experience and willing to work in the field and able to understand the local language.
• Desirable: One year experience in conducting field or community studies (24 hour dietary recall data collection)

SRF :

• Essential: Post Graduation (M.SC./M.A./MSW) in Anthropology/ Sociology/ Social Science / Social Work from a recognized university and willing to work in the field and able to understand the local language.
• Desirable: One year experience in conducting anthropometry, mobile tablet-based data collection in field or community studies

Project Assistant :

• Graduate from a MLT from a recognized university OR
• DMLT with One year relevant experience (blood sample collection) OR
• B.Sc (Nursing) OR
• Two years nursing with one year of relevant experience (blood sample collection) AND willing to work in the field and able to understand local language.

Field Worker :

• Essential: 12th pass in Science subject and willing to work in the field & able
• to understand the local language.
• Desirable: Minimum one-year experience in data collection from field or community.

Age Limit for ICMR Recruitment 2024

• Upper Age Limit not exceeding 35 Years: Applicable for the positions of Project Senior Research Fellow (SRF).
• Upper Age Limit not exceeding 30 Years: Applicable for the positions of Jr. Medical Officer, Project Assistant, and Field Worker.

Terms and Conditions for ICMR Recruitment 2024

• The number of posts may vary according to the project requirement,
• The above posts are on a temporary basis.
• The Director & Appointing Authority has the right to accept/reject any application without assigning any reason(s) and no correspondence in this matter will be entertained.
• Age relaxation is admissible in respect of Retrenched Government Employees,
• Departmental Candidates (including projects) and Ex-Servicemen in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Government from time to time.
• Age, qualifications, etc., will be reckoned as on the last date of receipt of applications.
• Upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST and 3 years in case of OBC category as per DoPT rules.
• The candidates should ensure that they belong to the OBC category if applicable while applying for the project posts.
• Such candidates should produce a valid OBC-Non Creamy Layer certificate in the prescribed format during document verification that he/she does not belong to the creamy layer.
• The OBC certificate shall not be older than one year at the time of joining the post. In case of not complying with these stipulations, their candidature or OBC reservation will not be entertained.
• Presently serving or previously served ICMR-Project employees who have completed three years of project service are not eligible to appear for walk-in-interview.
• The maximum term of any Project Position in any or multiple projects, with breaks or without breaks shall be three years only.
• Since, the posts are temporary; the incumbents selected will have no claim for regular appointment at ICMR-NIN or continuation of his/ her services in any other project.
• The results of the final selection will be placed on ICMR-NIN website only. No intimation will be sent by email or phone.
• At the time of joining duty, the candidates should bring all original certificates of educational qualifications (from SSC onwards), No Objection Certificate from present employer, Experience, Aadhaar Card, Community and PWD Certificate (if applicable) for availing age relaxation, passport size photograph along with one set of photocopies of the certificates duly attested (can be self attested) for verification.
• The conditions of employment will be the same as that of the project staff on contract basis.
• Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.

Selection Procedure for ICMR Recruitment 2024

• Selection Procedure: After verification of the applications, the names of eligible candidates will be displayed on the official website www.nin.res.in.
• The applications are shortlisted for the interview based on the decision of the Screening Committee as per the project requirements.
• Interviews will be conducted for the shortlisted candidates through online (Video call/ Video-Conferencing) to select the suitable candidate in a later course.
• The Zoom link will be shared with the shortlisted candidates to attend online interviews.
• The candidates have to make their own arrangements for Video Call/ Video-Conferencing facilities for Online Interviews.

• Applications are invited from eligible candidates for online interview through e-mail for Phase-2 of Pan India study entitled "Diet and Biomarker Survey in India (DABS-)"funded by ICMR on a temporary contract basis in Himachal Pradesh.
• These posts require extensive travel in different districts of Himachal Pradesh State to conduct the study.
