The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has announced a vacancy for the position of Consultant Scientific (Statistics) to be filled on a temporary basis. This recruitment is for a project titled "ICMR-Myconet Inpatient Clinical Registry: Establishment of an analytics platform," located in Delhi. The successful candidate will earn a monthly salary of Rs. 70,000 and must be below 45 years of age.
Applicants should possess at least a first-class master's degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or Health Statistics with relevant experience or a second-class master's degree with a Ph.D. and experience. Preference will be given to candidates skilled in statistical software and data management.

This contractual position is initially for seven months, with possible extensions, and does not guarantee a permanent position within ICMR.

Qualification For ICMR Recruitment 2024
- First class master degree in Statistics/Biostatistics/Health Statistics from a recognized university with 2 years' experience in the related field.
- Second class master degree in the above mentioned subjects with Ph.D in Statistics/Biostatistics/Health Statistics / Public Health/Demography/Population Studies/Anthropology from a recognized university with 1-year experience in the related field.
- Preference will be given to those having experience in using software's e.g., STATA, SPSS, R, Python, SQL, etc. to analyse data/data querying and draw insights from large data sets etc.
- Data management, cleaning, preparation and analysis using supervised machine learning/artificial intelligence modeling procedures, report writing, manuscript preparation and publication.
Selection Process For ICMR Recruitment 2024
- All applications will be screened and only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview.
- Shortlisted candidates will be informed regarding details of interview later.
- The candidates should upload one set photocopies of self-attested documents viz. (Academic Degrees/Certificates (10th onward), Professional Degrees/Certificates, Experience, Aadhar Card, Caste Certificate (if applicable) a single PDF file. The applications not in the prescribed format will be summarily rejected.
- The contractual appointment will be made initially for Seven months and extendable up to till the completion of project.
- The recruited project staff are eligible for leave as per rules and will have to give an undertaking at the time of joining.
- The conditions for employment will be same as that of the ICMR project staff on contract basis.
General Terms & Conditions For ICMR Recruitment 2024
- Since the posts are purely temporary, the incumbents selected will have no claim for regular appointment under ICMR or continuation of his/her services in any other project.
- The appointment is terminable with one month notice period from either side without assigning any reason and the tenure would be reviewed periodically on the basis of performance and suitability.
- Leave shall be as per the Institutional policy for project staff.
- Reservation for SC/ST/OBC will be as per Govt. of India norms.
- No TA/DA etc. will be given to attend the interview.
- Qualification and experience should be from a recognised university/ organization/ institution.
- Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification and the decision of the Selection Committee will be final.
- Experience should have been gained after acquiring the minimum essential qualification.
- Mere fulfilling the essential qualification does not guarantee the selection.
- Director, NIRDH& DS, reserves the right to consider or reject any application/candidature.
- Submission of wrong or false information during the process of selection shall disqualify the candidature at any stage.
- Candidates coming for the interview/written test should bring a duly filled in application in the prescribed format, a recent passport size photograph, originals as well as photocopies of certificates and documents and other testimonials to support the claim of experience etc.
