The ICMR has announced a recruitment notification for the position of Project Research Scientist in New Delhi. The role requires candidates to have a first-class postgraduate degree or Ph.D. in relevant fields like Public Health or Psychology, along with three years of experience. Candidates should have experience in fieldwork, project management, and must have published at least two research papers in UGC-recognized journals. The position offers a salary of Rs. 67,000 per month plus HRA.
This is a temporary role under a specific project and will be co-terminus with the project. The selection process is not guaranteed, as it depends on fund availability and approval from the Competent Authority. Qualifications Details for ICMR Recruitment 2024
- First Class Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG Degrees in relevant subjects (Public Health Or Psychology) with three year experience Ph.D
- Second Class Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG Degrees with Ph.D (Public Health Or Psychology) and three years’ experience
- Candidate with knowledge and technical experience of Psychology/ Public Health. Candidate may be required to do field visits as per requirement.
- Experience of working on field and management of multicentric projects in government institute will be an added advantage.
- Candidate having at least 2 Research/ Review paper published in UGC recognized journal
Job Requirement For ICMR Recruitment 2024
- Candidate is required to coordinate with Institute/ other Centers selected under this call for proposal and monitoring the work under of multicentric projects and assist the Program officer in review of the data collected and preparation of reports and any other work assigned by Program Officer.

- Age relaxation will be as per the guidelines of ICMR.
- Reserved category candidates must produce their latest Caste Validity Certificate. OBC candidates must possess a latest valid non-creamy layer certificate.
- PWD candidates shall produce latest disability certificate issued by a Medical board of Government hospital with not less than 40% disability.
- Qualification & experience should be in relevant discipline/field and from an Institution of repute.
- Experience should have been gained after acquiring the minimum essential qualification.
- Mere fulfilling the essential qualification does not guarantee the selection.
- Persons already in regular time scale service under any Government Department / Organizations are not eligible to apply.
- No TA/DA will be paid to attend interview / personal discussion and candidates have to arrange transport/accommodation themselves.
- ICMR reserves rights to consider or reject any application/candidature.
- The persons engaged on Project Human Resource Positions shall not have any claim on a regular post in ICMR or in any of its Institutes/Centers or in any Department of Government of India and their project term with breaks or without breaks in any or multiple projects will not confer any right for further assignment or transfer to any other project or appointment/absorption/regularization of service in funding agency or in ICMR.
- Benefits of Provident Fund, Pension Scheme, Leave Travel Concession, Medical claim, Staff Quarters and other facilities applicable to the regular staff of ICMR etc. are not admissible to the project human resource positions.
