NIRT Recruitment 2024 Notification Out Project Driver Cum Mechanic, Check Eligibility at icmr.nic.in
The National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis (NIRT) has announced recruitment for 15 positions of Project Driver Cum Mechanic in Chennai, with a monthly salary of Rs.16,000/-. Applicants must hold Matric/S.S.C or equivalent qualifications, possess a valid driving license, and have two years of experience.
Duties include managing the operation and maintenance of a Mobile X-Ray bus, driving various vehicles, upkeep, and routine repairs.
Candidates can apply by filling the prescribed application form available on www.nirt.res.in or www.icmr.nic.in and submitting it either online or through walk-in selection. Qualification for NIRT Recruitment 2024
- Matric/S.S.C or equivalent from a recognized board with valid driving license issued by RTO of any State
- And authorized to drive Light Motor Vehicle (Goods &Passenger) and Two-wheeler with/without gear
- And two years’ experience in recognized organization/Institute
Nature of Duties for NIRT Recruitment 2024
- Get oriented in requirements of managing the operation and maintenance of Mobile X-Ray bus.
- Should have license to drive Heavy Motor Vehicle (Goods & passenger) and Three Wheelers (Auto Rickshaw).
- Upkeep, regular maintenance & cleanliness of vehicles including POL level.
- Maintenance of log book.
- Routine repairs including change of wheels.
- Skillful parking of mobile X-Ray bus in a strategic position to facilitate surveyactivities in the cluster.
- Monitoring and maintaining overall vehicle condition in running condition.
- Any other job as assigned by Senior Investigator, Medical Officer & PMU as per Survey needs.
- Candidate should be able to speak in Regional/local language

Affix a color passport size photograph on the application form. Attach self-attested copies of all credentials in support of educational qualifications, age, caste/community, Aadhar Card.
- For walk-in selection: Candidates should bring the filled application along with photocopies of all the certificates to ICMR-National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis, No.1, Mayor Sathyamoorthy Road, Chetpet, Chennai - 600031 on the date and time mentioned above. Original Certificates of all these credentials should also be carried for verification.
