The National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) has announced a recruitment drive for two Senior Research Fellow positions. NIN Recruitment 2024 Qualification
- Master's(M.Sc./MPH) Food & Nutrition, Home Science and willing to work in the field and able to understand local language.
- One year experience in conducting field or community studies (24 hour dietary recall data collection)
- Interested candidates who hold a Master’s degree in Food & Nutrition or Home Science, or a Master of Public Health, and have at least one year of experience in field or community studies, specifically with 24-hour dietary recall data collection, are invited to apply.
- Candidates must be willing to work in the field and should have proficiency in the local language to facilitate research activities effectively.

Terms and Conditions For NIN Recruitment 2024
- The number of posts may vary according to the project requirement.
- The above posts are on temporary basis.
- The Director & Appointing Authority has the right to accept/reject any application without assigning any reason(s) and no correspondence in this matter will be entertained.
- Age relaxation is admissible in respect of Retrenched Government Employees, Departmental Candidates (including projects) and Ex-Servicemen in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Government from time to time.
- Age, qualifications, etc., will be reckoned as on the last date of receipt of applications.
- Upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST and 3 years in case of OBC category as per DoPT rules. The candidates should ensure that they belong to the OBC category if applicable while applying the project posts. Such candidates should produce a valid OBC-Non Creamy Layer certificate in the prescribed format during document verification that he/she does not belong to the creamy layer. The OBC certificate shall not be older than one year at the time of joining the post. In case of not complying with these stipulations, their candidature or OBC reservation will not be entertained.
- Presently serving or previously served ICMR-Project employees who have completed three years of project service are not eligible to appear for walk-in-interview. The maximum term of any Project Position in any or multiple projects, with breaks or without breaks shall be three years only.
- Since, the posts are temporary; the incumbents selected will have no claim for regular appointment at ICMR- NIN or continuation of his/her services in any other project.
- The results of the final selection will be placed on ICMR-NIN website only. No intimation will be sent by e- mail or phone.
- At the time of joining duty, the candidates should bring all original certificates of educational qualifications (from SSC onwards), No Objection Certificate from present employer, Experience, Aadhaar Card, Community and PWD Certificate (if applicable) for availing age relaxation, passport size photograph along with one set of photocopies of the certificates duly attested (can be self attested) for verification.
- The conditions of employment will be the same as that of the project staff on contract basis.
- Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.

- After verification of the applications, the names of eligible candidates list will be displayed on the official website www.nin.res.in.
- The applications are shortlisted for the interview based on the decision of the Screening Committee as per the project requirements.
- Interviews will be conducted for the shortlisted candidates through online (Video call/ Video-Conferencing) to select the suitable candidate in later course.
- The Zoom link will be shared with the shortlisted candidates to attend online interview.
- The candidates have to make their own arrangements for Video Call/ Video-Conferencing facilities for Online Interviews.
