ICMR-NIE is conducting walk-in interviews for the recruitment of Project Research Scientist and Project Technical Support positions on April 23, 2024, at Thoothukudi. There are a total of 4 vacancies available. For Project Research Scientist - I (Medical), candidates must possess an MBBS degree from a recognized university along with knowledge of NTEP and latest TB management guidelines, experience in community-based projects, proficiency in computer applications and statistical packages, and excellent communication skills in the local language.
For Project Technical Support I (Health Assistant) and Project Technical Support I (Field Assistant), candidates should have completed 10th grade along with a diploma in MLT, DMLT, or ITI, plus two years of relevant experience in data collection or community-based projects, fluency in Tamil, and good communication skills.
The age limit for Project Research Scientist is 35 years, and for Project Technical Support, it is 28 years. The salary ranges from Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 67,000 per month, along with admissible HRA. Qualifications Details for ICMR-NIE Recruitment 2024
Project Research Scientist – I (Medical):
- MBBS degree from recognized university
- Knowledge of NTEP & latest guidelines in TB management

Project Technical Support I (Health Assistant):

Age Limit for ICMR-NIE Recruitment 2024
Candidates are requested to participate in a Walk-In Interview/Written Test scheduled between 9:30 AM and 10:30 AM for project-based positions under different projects on a contractual basis, as outlined below (please consult the website for any updates on the interview date):
- Project Research Scientist: Maximum Age Limit 35 Years
- Project Technical Support: Maximum Age Limit 28 Years
