The Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE) is conducting walk-in interviews for the positions of Junior Project Consultant and Project Associate on April 24, 2024, in New Delhi. There are a total of 4 vacancies available. The salary offered for the positions ranges from Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 54,000 per month.
Candidates applying for the role of Project Consultant should possess a first-class Master’s degree in Biological Science with at least 5 years of experience in Ecology and Biodiversity assessment, or they can be retired Government Employees with relevant experience. Project Associates should have a first-class Master’s degree with five years’ experience in Ecology and Biodiversity/Environmental Science/Zoology/Wildlife biology, or a Ph.D. with more than 3 years of working experience in related fields.
The maximum age limit for the Junior Project Consultant is 65 years, while for Project Associates, it is 35 years, with relaxations applicable as per Government rules. Eligible candidates must appear for the walk-in interview with their complete biodata, original testimonials, self-attested copies of qualification certificates, and a recent passport-size photograph. The selection committee's decision will be final, and no TA/DA will be provided for the interview.

Qualification for ICFRE Recruitment 2024
Project Consultant
First class Master’s degree in Biological Science with experience in Ecology and Biodiversity assessment in relation to developmental projects for a period of 5 years. OR Retired Government Employees with Grade pay of Rs. 4600/- with experience in the field of Ecology and Biodiversity Assessment in relation to developmental projects for a period of 5 years in line with Consultant ‘A’ position as per MoEF&CC notification.
Project Associate
First class Master’s degree with five years’ experience in the field of Ecology and Biodiversity/Environmental Science / Zoology/ Wildlife biology OR Ph. D. having more than 03 years working experience in the above-mentioned fields and in case of developmental projects
Pay Scale for ICFRE Recruitment 2024
The pay scale for the ICFRE Recruitment 2024 varies for the positions of Project Consultant and Project Associate. For the Project Consultant role, the monthly salary offered is Rs. 50,000, which is consolidated. On the other hand, for the Project Associate position, the salary is Rs. 54,000 per month, along with House Rent Allowance (HRA). These salary details are applicable for the specified positions under the ICFRE recruitment drive in 2024.
Age Limit for ICFRE Recruitment 2024
- The maximum age limit for Junior Project Consultant shall be 65 years. Other Terms & Conditions will be as per MoEF&CC notification dated 21.12.2018.
- The maximum age limit for Project Associate is 35 years which is relaxable up to 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST/Women, PH, and 03 years for OBC as per Govt. of India and ICFRE Rules.
- The criteria for selection of the candidate may be relaxed in exceptional cases at the discretion of the management.
- Duration of engagement period may be curtailed or extended at the discretion of the Competent Authority and performance of the candidates in work disposal.
Walkin Date for ICFRE Recruitment 2024
- All eligible candidates have to appear for Walk –in-Interview in person and have to report on 24.04.2024 by 9.30 AM at the Committee Room of EM Division, ICFRE H.Q. Room No.136, Dehradun along with their complete and signed Bio-data, Original Testimonials, self-attested copies of all qualification certificates and a recent passport size photograph.
- Awards of the assignment on contract shall be governed as per Rules applicable in ICFRE and do not guarantee subsequent employment to any of the engaged person on contract under the Council.
- Applicants not fulfilling the required qualifications and conditions will not be considered. Decision of the selection committee will be final and binding on applicant.
- No TA/DA is admissible for this Walk in interview
