ICAR–National Institute of Veterinary Epidemiology and Disease Informatics (NIVEDI), located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, is conducting walk-in interviews for various temporary positions under different projects/schemes on April 30, 2024, and May 1, 2024.

Positions include Young Professional-II, Project Research Associate, Assistant Project Manager, Project Associate-I, Office Assistant, Senior Research Fellow, and Young Professional-I. Essential qualifications, desirable qualifications/experience, emoluments, age limits, and interview dates are specified for each position.

Candidates must bring filled application forms along with original and self-attested copies of certificates/documents for verification at the time of the interview. The tenure for most positions is temporary and co-terminus with the project/scheme. The Director of ICAR-NIVEDI reserves the right to fill the posts without assigning reasons.

Qualification for NIVEDI Recruitment 2024

Young Professional-II :

• Postgraduate in basic Sciences with specialization in Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology subjects OR
• Graduate degree holders in Agriculture Science / Technology (includes all Agriculture & Allied sciences, Animal Science, Veterinary Sciences, etc or its equivalent.

Young Professional-II :

• Graduate degree holders in Agriculture Science / Technology (includes all Agriculture & Allied sciences, Animal Science, Veterinary Sciences, etc or its equivalent. OR
• Post Graduate in Statistics / Biostatistics / Economics

Project Research Associate :

• Master degree in Agricultural Statistics / Biostatistics / Bioinformatics / Computer Science with 4 years of Bachelor’s Degree. OR
• Post graduate degree in Bioinformatics / Biostatistics / Computer Science with 3 years Bachelor’s degree must have 2 years of research experience

Assistant Project Manager :

• Master degree in Agricultural Statistics / Biostatistics / Bioinformatics / Computer Science with 4 years of Bachelor’s Degree. OR
• Post graduate degree in Bioinformatics / Biostatistics / Computer Science with 3 years Bachelor’s degree must have 2 years of research experience

Project Associate-I :

• Master’s degree in Agricultural Statistics / Bioinformatics / Biostatistics

Office Assistant :

• SSLC / PUC

Senior Research Fellow :

• Master degree in Agricultural Statistics / Biostatistics / Biotechnology with 4/5 years of Bachelor’s degree OR
• Post graduate degree in Biostatistics / Computer Science with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree with NET / GATE qualifications and 2 years of research experience

Young Professional-II :

• Post Graduate in Life Science / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry or its equivalent

Young Professional-II :

• Graduate in Veterinary Sciences / Agricultural Sciences.

Young Professional-II :

• Post Graduate in Biotechnology / Microbiology / Biochemistry or its equivalent OR
• Graduate degree holders in relevant Agricultural Sciences / Engineering (BE in Biotechnology: 4 years degree)

Young Professional-I :

• Bachelor degree of recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; OR

Age Limit for NIVEDI Recruitment 2024

• Young Professional-II: Age requirement is between 21 to 45 years.
• Project Research Associate: Candidates up to 45 years of age are eligible.
• Assistant Project Manager: Applicants up to 45 years old can apply.
• Project Associate-I: Maximum age limit is 35 years.
• Office Assistant: Age requirement ranges from 18 to 28 years.
• Senior Research Fellow: Men should be 35 years old, while women should be 40 years old.
• Young Professional-I: Age range is from 21 to 45 years.

Terms and Conditions for NIVEDI Recruitment 2024

• Any Changes with regard to selection/schedule of interview will be notified at the Institute’s website only.
• The desirous and eligible candidates fulfilling criteria must bring duly filled application form, original certificates along with one set self-attested copies of certificates / documents for verification at the time of interview.
• Candidates without original certificates/documents will not be allowed to attend the interview.
• Applications not in prescribed proforma, incomplete are liable to be rejected.
• The candidate should hold Degree certificate on the date of interview (at least Provisional Certificate), if applicable in original in respect of Graduation, Post-Graduation, Ph.D. (website results/awaiting for results candidates will not be allowed/considered).
• The above positions are purely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project/ scheme except Young Professional (I & II).
• The tenure of Young Professional (I & II) will be for a period of one year or till the termination of the project/scheme whichever is earlier from the date of joining which may be extendable for two more years (01 year at a time) subject to requirement of the services of the Young Professional in the Institute and satisfactory performance of the candidate.
• The period and duration of the project /scheme is tentative and the same may undergo change.
• There is no provision for absorption/re-employment after termination of the contract. The service of person, who are engaged, will automatically stand terminated with the termination of the contract.
• Selected candidate can be discontinued earlier owing to administrative reasons at any time by issue of one-month notice.
• The selected candidate may also leave the assignment on their own, by giving one-month notice.
• Crucial date for determining the age limit will be the date of interview.
• The Income Tax or any other tax liable to be deducted as per the prevailing rules will be deducted at source before effecting payment of monthly salary.
• No TA, DA will be paid for attending the interview.
• Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification of the candidature and/ or termination of engagement even after appointment.
• The notified vacancies may increase or decrease as per the requirement of the Institute /Project.
• The Director, ICAR-NIVEDI reserves the right to fill up all the posts or any of them without assigning any reasons thereof.
• The decision of the Director, ICAR-NIVEDI is final and binding in all aspects.

Walk-In Interview Details for NIVEDI Recruitment 2024

• Walk-in-interview for the selection of following temporary posts at ICAR-NIVEDI, Ramagondanahalli, Yelahanka, Bengaluru-560064 under various time bound Ad-hoc projects/schemes will be held on 30-04-2024 and 01-05-2024.
• All desirous and eligible candidates fulfilling criteria are invited to attend the walk-in-interview on 30-04-2024 and 01-05-2024 at 9:00 AM.
• The interviews for the positions of Young Professional-II, Project Research Associate, Assistant Project Manager, Project Associate-I, Office Assistant, and Senior Research Fellow are scheduled for April 30, 2024.
• Interviews for the positions of Young Professional-II and Young Professional-I will be held on May 1, 2024.
• All the eligible candidates attending interview should be present at the Institute campus sharply by 9 AM on the date of interview.
