The Indian Institute of Soybean Research (IISR) in Indore has announced a recruitment notification for one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position. Candidates with a Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science (Biochemistry, Botany, Genetics) or Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in professional courses (Biotechnology, Plant Biotechnology, Agricultural Biotechnology, Plant Breeding) are eligible.
Candidates must have been selected through national eligibility tests like CSIR-UGC-NET, GATE, GPAT, or other national level exams conducted by central government institutions. The role requires experience in molecular markers, marker-assisted plant breeding, hybridization in soybean, and conducting field trials. The JRF will receive a monthly salary of ₹37,000 plus 18% HRA for the first two years, increasing to ₹42,000 plus 18% HRA in the third year.
The maximum age limit is 35 years for men and 40 years for women, with applicable age relaxations. Interested candidates must attend a walk-in interview on May 24, 2024, with the necessary documents. Qualification for IISR Indore Recruitment 2024
- Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science (Biochemistry/Botany/Genetics) OR Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in professional courses (Biotechnology/Plant Biotechnology/Agricultural Biotechnology/Plant Breeding) selected through a process described through any one of the following
- Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests-CSIR- UGC-NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship), GATE and GPAT
- The selection process through National Level examinations conducted by central government departments and their agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc., IISER etc.
- Experience in use of molecular markers and marker-assisted plant breeding / Experience of hybridization in soybean; experience in conduction of field trials, data recording, data entry in excel/word in computer; report compilation; experience in germplasm characterization and evaluation
Salary Details for IISR Indore Recruitment 2024
- Junior Research Fellow : 37,000/- per month + 18% HRA for first two years and 42,000/- per month + 18% HRA for 3rd year.

- The above posts are purely temporary, time bound and co-terminus with the project/scheme. Appointment will be based on the performance and fund availability.
- The terms, tenure and service conditions of engagement shall be governed by the directions of ICAR/IISR /Funding Agency (as applicable) as circulated time to time. Emoluments will be fixed as per the guidelines of funding agencies from time to time.
- Number of advertised posts are tentative, which may be increase or decrease on later stage as per the Director's discretion. Only those candidates will be invited to appear for interview, who fulfill all the eligibility conditions.
- The engagement of Junior Research Fellow will be governed by the directions of ICAR/IISR/Funding Agency (as applicable) and the ICAR OM. No. F. No. Ag. Edn. 6/27/2014-HRD dated 30.07.2019 and Qualification as per OM: DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 (E-file-41804) dated June 26, 2023, DST, Gol as circulated time to time.
- Reporting Time: The reporting time will be 10:30 to 12:30 P.M on scheduled date of interview with prescribed application form and self-attested required documents with Aadhar, Experience certificate, Caste certificate (as applicable) and N.O.C (as applicable). The candidates reporting after the reporting time on the above mentioned interview dates will not be considered for interview.

- Applications are invited vide Advt No. 03/2024 from eligible candidates to attend walk-in-interview for the temporary position of Junior Research Fellow (1 Post) under DBT funded project entitled "Characterization of saponin polymorphism in irradiation-induced TILLING population of soybean cultivar NRC-142" on short term basis.
- Eligible candidates may report for the walk-in-interview on dated 24th May 2024 (10:30 AM onwards) with required self-attested documents (10th class onwards) and prescribed application form.
