IB Recruitment 2024: New Notification Out For Various Posts, Check Vacancies, Salary, Age, Qualification And Other Important Details
The Intelligence Bureau (IB) and Bureau of Immigration (BoI) offer deputation opportunities for a minimum of 3 or 5 years, extendable up to 7 years, with additional perks including a Special Security Allowance, extra salary for duties on non-working days, uniform and clothing allowances, leave travel concessions, children education allowances, and hardship location allowances.
Eligible officers must have completed a cooling-off period of 3 years since their last deputation, not exceeding one prior deputation, and must submit a complete application through proper channels, including biodata, educational certificates, ACRs/APARs for the last five years, vigilance clearance, and integrity certificates.
Incomplete applications or those received after the closing date will not be considered. Selected personnel will be governed by applicable DOP&T and MHA guidelines, and absorption into permanent service is based on performance and merit. The tenure and terms of deputation adhere to established guidelines outlined by DOP&T and MHA.

Qualifications Details for IB Recruitment 2024
Assistant Central Intelligence Officer-I/Executive :
- Officers under the Central Police Organizations or State Police Organizations or Defence Forces:
- holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or
- with two years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis or
- equivalent in the parent cadre or department;
- possessing the following educational qualifications and experience:
- bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or equivalent; and
- two years’ experience in security or intelligence work.
Assistant Central Intelligence Officer-II/Executive :
- Officers of the Central Police Organizations or State Police Organizations or Defence Forces:
- holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or
- with five years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; and
- possessing the following educational qualifications and experience, namely:
- Essential – Graduation or equivalent from a recognized university; and
- two years’ experience in security or intelligence work.
- Desirable – Knowledge of Computers.
Junior Intelligence Officer-I/Executive :
- Officers of the Central Police Organizations or State Police Organizations or Defence forces:-
- Essential: Matriculate or equivalent from a recognized board, and
- holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or
- with five years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis or equivalent in the parent cadre or department.
Junior Intelligence Officer-II/Executive :
- Officers of the Central Police Organizations or State Police Organizations or Defence forces:- Essential: Matriculate or equivalent from a recognized board, and
- holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or
- with five years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis or equivalent in the parent cadre or department.
Security Assistant/Executive :
- Officers of the Central Police Organizations or State Police Organizations or Defence forces:-
- Essential: Matriculate or equivalent from a recognized board, and
- holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or
- with five years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis or equivalent in the parent cadre or department.
Junior Intelligence Officer-II/Tech :
- Officers of the Central Police Organizations or State Police Organizations or Defence Forces holding analogous post or eligible to hold analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department.
- Essential: Matriculate or equivalent from a recognized board
- Desirable: Field experience in intelligence work

- The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation or absorption shall be not exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications
