The Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology, an autonomous institute under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, is seeking applications from qualified Indian nationals, including PIOs and OCIs, for Associate Professor positions. One position is available in Plasma Physics or Condensed Matter Physics, requiring a Master’s degree in Physics, a Ph.D. in the specified area, and a minimum of 10 years post-PhD experience, with a preference for expertise in Basic/Applied Plasma Physics or Condensed Matter Physics.
Another position is in Chemical Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Statistics, or Computer Science, with similar educational qualifications and experience, preferably with post-Ph.D. experience in Material Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, or Artificial Intelligence.
The third position is in Life Sciences, requiring a Master’s degree in Life Sciences and a Ph.D. in the field, with a minimum of 10 years post-PhD experience, and a preference for expertise in Biochemistry, Biodiversity, Drug Development, Sericulture, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, or Molecular Biology. Pay protection and allowances are provided as per government rules.

Qualifications Details for IASST Recruitment 2024
- Master’s degree in any branch of Physics with first class or equivalent (in terms of Grades or marks) at the preceding degree and excellent academic record throughout as evidenced by patents and/or publications in peer reviewed journals. And Ph.D. in the area of Plasma Physics or Condensed Matter Physics.
- Post-Ph.D. experience of working in the field of Basic/Applied Plasma Physics or Condensed Matter Physics.
