IARI (Indian Agricultural Research Institute) is inviting applications for a contractual position of Young Professional-II (YP-II) under the NASF funded project aimed at enhancing abiotic stress tolerance in wheat and pearl millet. The position is available at the Division of Seed Science and Technology in New Delhi.

Eligible candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in relevant agricultural or life sciences disciplines, with experience in crop raising, seed technology, and molecular techniques being preferred. Applicants should be between 21 and 45 years of age, with age relaxations applicable as per government guidelines.

The selected candidate will receive a consolidated monthly stipend of Rs. 42,000. Qualification For IARI Recruitment 2024

• Post graduate degree in relevant subjects from a recognized university with a good academic record or Degree in Agriculture Science as per ICAR OM No.F.No.Agril.Edn.1- 06/2020-A & P dated 04.12.2020
• Master’s degree in Seed Science and Technology, Genetics /Plant Breeding/ Life Sciences/ Plant Physiology/ Plant Biochemistry/ Plant Biotechnology discipline with working experience of crop raising, seed technological, biochemical and molecular techniques.
• Working knowledge of computer and data analysis.

Terms & Conditions For IARI Recruitment 2024

• Age limit: 21 - 45 years, as on date of interview (Age relaxation SC/ST/ OBC/PWD/ Women and other exempted categories as per ICAR /GOI guidelines).
• The position is purely temporary, time-bound and co-terminus with the project; the selected candidates shall not claim for regular appointments at IARI/ ICAR
• The salary is fixed in nature and candidate cannot claim for any increment and other government facilities.
• The candidates will have to compulsorily bring the filled in application form (as per the format annexed), all the original certificates from matriculation onwards, date of birth certificate, NET/equivalent certificate, degree certificate either original or provisional and one set of the selfattested photocopies of all the required certificates from matriculation onwards and an attested/selfattested recent passport size photograph pasted on the application form.
• Proof of experience and publications also need to be submitted.

• The YP-II will not be entitled for any regular leave, but are allowed to have CL and RH from time to time, not exceeding 10 days in a year. The YP-II are full time worker and are required to adhere to the administrative, financial and disciplinary regulations of ICAR-IARI, hence regular attendance of the YP-II will be maintained by keeping an attendance register.
• The continuation of the selected candidate will depend upon the progress reviewed every six months by the Principal Investigator. However, his/ her appointment can be terminated any time by giving one month prior notice.
• Only the candidates meeting essential qualifications would be interviewed. Confirmation mail will be sent to all shortlisted candidates by email.
• No objection and experience certificate from the employer, in case he/she is employed is essential.
• All the candidates are also required to compulsorily furnish the declaration duly signed and submitted at the date of interview.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
• Please note that, if any information/s and or declaration furnished on the date of interview is found in correct, such candidate will not be permitted to appear for the interview.
• Concealing of the facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification or termination of the candidate. The decision of the competent authority will be final and binding in all respect.

If such declaration is furnished on the date of interview and found that his/her relative is an employee of ICAR/IARI, such candidate will not be allowed for the interview.
• Applications are invited for recruitment of one (1) Young Professional-II (YP-II) on contractual basis under NASF funded Project“Enhancing Abiotic Stress Tolerance in Wheat and Pearl Millet: Insights from Integrated Genetic, Epigenetic, Physiological and Molecular Interventions” at the Division Seed Science and Technology, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi 110012.
