High Court of Bombay Recruitment 2024 Notification Out for 02 District Judge, Senior Civil Judge, Check Eligibility at bombayhighcourt.nic.in
The High Court of Bombay has announced recruitment for two positions: District Judge and Senior Civil Judge, to be stationed at Parbhani and Nagpur respectively. This recruitment drive is specifically for retired Judicial Officers who served between April 2020 and March 2024.
Retired officers from the cadre of District Judge are eligible for the District Judge position, while those from the cadre of Ad-hoc District Judge and Senior Civil Judge are eligible for the Senior Civil Judge role. However, those who took voluntary retirement or were compulsorily retired or dismissed are not eligible. Interested candidates must submit the duly filled prescribed proforma along with a medical fitness certificate from a Civil Hospital via email to "[email protected]" by 22nd May 2024.
Additionally, the original copy of the proforma must be sent by speed post to the office of the Registrar General, High Court of Bombay, Fort, Mumbai. The envelope should be superscribed with "Application for the temporary additional posts (for retired Judicial Officers) under the scheme of 14' Finance Commission."

Position, Vacancy, Place of Posting for High Court of Bombay Recruitment 2024
- It is hereby informed to all the retired Judicial Officers (retired during April, 2020 to March, 2024), that the High Court of Bombay has commenced the Selection Process for filling up 01 temporary additional posts of District Judge at Parbhani to be posted as Extra Joint District Judge and
- Additional Sessions Judge, 01 temporary additional posts of Senior Civil Judge to be posted as Extra Joint Civil Judge Senior Division & Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate at Nagpur, under the scheme of 14 Finance Commission.
Qualification for High Court of Bombay Recruitment 2024
- The retired Judicial Officers from the cadre of District Judge shall be considered for the post of District Judge whereas retired Judicial Officers from the cadre of Ad-hoc District Judge and Senior Civil Judge shall be considered for the post of Senior Civil Judge
- The retired Judicial Officers who have retired during April, 2020 to March, 2024 and having no assignment after retirement shall be considered.
- The retired Judicial Officers who have taken voluntary retirement and those who are compulsorily retired or dismissed shall not be considered.

- Please find annexed herewith prescribed proforma.
- The applicant shall send the scanned copy of the duly filled in prescribed proforma alongwith medical fitness certificate of Civil Hospital on or before 22.05.2024 by E-mail on address "[email protected]" and simultaneously the original of prescribed proforma be sent by speed post to the office of the Registrar General, High Court of Bombay, Fort, Mumbai, 400 032.
- The envelope containing willingness/information in prescribed proforma and medical fitness certificate of Civil Hospital should be superscribed with the words "Application for the temporary additional posts (for retired Judicial Officers) under the scheme of 14' Finance Commission."
