In cases where candidates proficient in Konkani are not available, recommendations may be made by the Goa Public Service Commission, subject to government approval. Positions include Scientific Officer (DNA) in the Goa Police Department, Assistant Technical Examiner in the Directorate of Vigilance, and Senior Surgeon in the Public Health Department, all for transfer on deputation.

Qualifications Details for Goa PSC Recruitment 2024

Scientific Officer: Officials holding analogous post in State/Central Forensic Science Laboratory

Assistant Technical Examiner:

• Officers under the Central/State Govts. and Union Territories holding posts in the rank of:
• Assistant Engineer or equivalent; or
• Junior Engineer or equivalent with 3 years service in the grade; and
• possessing degree in Civil Engineering of a recognised University or equivalent and preferably experience in a research organisation.(Period of deputation including period of deputation in another excadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same organisation/Department shall ordinarily not exceed 3 years)

Senior Surgeon:

• Officers of the Central/State Government Administration
• A recognized Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956(102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the said Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
• Post-graduate degree, failing which post-graduate diploma, in speciality concerned.
• Work in a responsible position connected with the speciality concerned for 3 years after post-graduation degree or 5 years after post graduation Diploma.

Lecturer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery:

• Post-Graduate qualification in Dentistry i.e. Master of Dental Surgery in concerned speciality/subject from a recognized institution or equivalent. (iii) Should be registered with Dental Council.
• Knowledge of Konkani
• One year teaching experience after post graduation in a recognized Institute.
• Three years experience as Registrar/Tutor/Senior Resident/Demonstrator in the concerned speciality of Dentistry in a recognized Dental College/Medical College with Dental Wing/Dental Institution.
• Knowledge of Marathi

Assistant Professor:

• Good Academic record with at least 55%* of marks or equivalent grade at Master’s Degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University.
• National Eligibility Test (NET)/State Level Eligibility Test (SET) shall remain the compulsory requirement for appointment as Assistant Professor: Provided, however, that candidates who are or have been awarded Ph. D. Degree in compliance of the “University Grants Commission (minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph. D. Degree), Regulation 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Colleges”.
• Knowledge of Konkani.
• Ph. D. or M. Phil. in the relevant subject.
• Knowledge of Marathi.

Lecturer:

• 1st class Master’s Degree in appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology or 1st class Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology Note: For the above purpose, “Appropriate branch” means the branch in which the post is to be filled up or such other branch where there is demonstrative evidence of likeness of subject matter covered.
• Knowledge of Konkani.
• Knowledge of Marathi.

Senior Orthopaedic Surgeon:

• Post-graduate degree in the speciality concerned.
• Three years work in a responsible position concerned with their speciality after post-graduation degree.
• Knowledge of Konkani.
• Knowledge of Marathi.

Probation Officer:

• Master’s degree in Social Service /Social Welfare / Social Work /Sociology /Psychology/Home Science with Nutrition or Child development as a subject from a recognised University or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Konkani.
• Knowledge of Marathi

• Online applications are invited for the below mentioned posts. The last date for filling up the applications for all posts other than the posts by transfer on deputation is 22.03.2024.
• The last date for filling up the applications for transfer on deputation posts only is 22.04.2024.
• Candidates should carefully read the “Instructions” available on Commission’s website before filling the application online.
• In case of non-availability of suitable candidates with the knowledge of Konkani, the Goa Public Service Commission may recommend a candidate if otherwise found fit and this requirement can be relaxed by the Government, on the recommendation of the Goa Public Service Commission, if the Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do in case of Group ‘A’ posts in Professional Colleges and Consultants in the Directorate of Health Services.
• Prescribed EQs are minimum & mere possession of same does not entitle the candidates to be called for interview. Where number of applications received is large, the Commission will shortlist the candidates to be called for interview as mentioned in the “Instructions”.
