The Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) has announced vacancies for Senior Surgeon and Scientific Officer positions, totaling 3 posts. The salary for these roles ranges from Rs. 15,600 to Rs. 39,100 per month. Candidates applying must be Officers of the Central or State Government Administration holding an analogous post on a regular basis, or have at least 5 years of regular service in a specified scale.
Additionally, candidates must possess a recognized medical qualification under the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, along with a post-graduate degree or diploma in the relevant specialty. The period of deputation for officers from State or Central Forensic Science Laboratories is limited to three years.

Qualifications Details for GPSC Recruitment 2024
- Officers of the Central/State Government Administration
- holding analogous post on regular basis; or
- with 5 years regular service in the scale of Rs.8000-275-13500(pre-revised)and
- possessing educational qualifications and experience prescribed for direct recruits ie.
- A recognized Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956(102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the said Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
- Post-graduate degree, failing which post-graduate diploma, in speciality concerned. (iii) Work in a responsible position connected with the speciality concerned for 3 years after post-graduation degree or 5 years after post graduation Diploma
- Official holding analogous post in State/Central Forensic Science Laboratory. (Period of deputation shall ordinarily not exceed three years).
