Eligibility Criteria for Goa PSC Recruitment 2024

• Senior Surgeon: Officers of the Central/State Government Administration, holding analogous post on regular basis; or with 5 years regular service in the scale of Rs.8000-275-13500(pre-revised)and )possessing educational qualifications and experience prescribed for direct recruits ie. (i) A recognized Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956(102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the said Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
• Post-graduate degree, failing which post-graduate diploma, in speciality concerned.
• Work in a responsible position connected with the speciality concerned for 3 years after post-graduation degree or 5 years after post graduation Diploma.
• Junior Surgeon: :A recognized Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the said Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
• Post-graduate degree, failing which post-graduate diploma, in the speciality concerned.
• In case of Diploma holders, Work in responsible position connected with the speciality concerned for 2 years after post-graduation Diploma. Knowledge of Konkani.
• Probation Officer: (i) Master’s degree in Social Service /Social Welfare / Social Work /Sociology /Psychology/Home Science with Nutrition or Child development as a subject from a recognised University or equivalent. (ii)Knowledge of Konkani.

• Online applications are invited for the below mentioned posts. The last date for filling up the applications for all posts other than the posts by transfer on deputation is 27.12.2024. The last date for filling up the applications for transfer on deputation post only is 27.01.2025
• To apply online refer the Commission’s website https://gpsc.goa.gov.in OR Government of Goa portal https://cbes.goa.gov.in/
• Candidates should carefully read the “Instructions” available on Commission’s website before filling the application online.
• In case of non-availability of suitable candidates with the knowledge of Konkani, the Goa Public Service Commission may recommend a candidate if otherwise found fit and this requirement can be relaxed by the Government, on the recommendation of the Goa Public Service Commission, if the Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do in case of Group ‘A’ posts in Professional Colleges and Consultants in the Directorate of Health Services.
