The Agricultural Institute is seeking applications for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position for the SERB Project titled “Exploring various banana germplasm for banana bunchy top virus (BBTV) tolerance through screening & molecular analysis by transcriptomic approaches”, with a project duration until January 2026.
The ideal candidate should possess an M.Sc./M.Tech. degree with a minimum of 55% marks in Agriculture, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Botany, or Life Sciences, and must be NET/GATE qualified. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in plant virus interaction studies.
The JRF will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 31,000 plus 16% HRA for two years, with the position being temporary until January 2026 or until funds are available. Interested candidates should submit their applications and CV via email to the Principal Investigator (PI) by April 30, 2024, with no provision for TA/DA for interview candidates.
