Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) Limited, a 50:50 Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) jointly owned by the Government of India and the Government of Gujarat, is responsible for implementing the Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project Phase-I, Phase-II, and Surat Phase-I, as well as its Operations & Maintenance.
GMRC is seeking applications from qualified and experienced candidates for the position of General Manager/Addl. General Manager (Traction) on a contractual basis, following the standard terms & conditions of the organization. The position offers one vacancy, and the remuneration varies depending on the basis of appointment.
For candidates appointed on a contractual basis, the IDA payscale ranges from Rs. 120,000 to Rs. 280,000, while for those appointed on a post-superannuation basis, remuneration will be on a consolidated pay basis. The last date for submission of online applications has been extended to 6th April 2024. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply online before the specified deadline.

Qualification for GMRC Recruitment 2024
- Candidate must be a B.E /B.Tech (Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics/Industrial Electronics / Power Electronics or equivalent) engineering graduate from a Govt. recognized University/Institute.
- For General Manager: Applicants should have minimum 20 years of relevant post-qualification experience of Executive Level in a reputed private organization OR 17 years of relevant postqualification experience of Executive level in Government / PSU's.
- For Addl. General Manager: Applicants should have minimum 18 years of relevant postqualification experience of Executive Level in a reputed private organization OR 16 years of relevant post-qualification experience of Executive level in Government / PSU's.
Pay Scale for GMRC Recruitment 2024
- For Contract basis - IDA payscale 120000-280000/100000-260000 For post-superannuation basis – On consolidated pay basis
- For applying to the post of General Manager: Applicant should have at least 2 years’ experience in IDA pay scale of ₹ 100000- 260000 or higher pay scales or equivalent CDA pay scale. Applicant should be working with reputed private organizations drawing salary (CTC) of minimum Rs. 2,00,000/- per month (approximately).
- For applying to the post of Addl. General Manager: Applicant should have at least 2 years’ experience in IDA pay scale of ₹ 90000- 240000 or higher pay scales or equivalent CDA pay scale. Applicant should be working with reputed private organizations drawing salary (CTC) of minimum Rs. 1,80,000/- per month (approximately).
Place of Posting for GMRC Recruitment 2024
Candidates after selection are likely to be posted at Ahmedabad / Gandhinagar/ Surat or any other projects of GMRC, anywhere in Gujarat. For IDA/CDA scale employeesthe % of HRA may vary according to the place of posting as per Government guidelines and as per company policy.

Selection Procedure for GMRC Recruitment 2024
i. Based on eligibility, candidates meeting the criteria will be called for interview.
ii. The Venue, Date and Time of Interview will be informed in advance.
iii. Any request for a change in date or venue shall not be entertained.
iv. The document verification of candidates shall be done before the Interview. The candidates are required to carry their original certificates to facilitate the document verification, failing which the candidate shall not be allowed to attend the Interview
v. Call lettersforinterview will be issued to shortlisted applicants indicating Time, Date and Venue of the Interview through registered email.
