GMRC Recruitment 2024 Qualifications Details

• Candidate must be a B.E /B. Tech (Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics/Industrial Electronics / Power Electronics or equivalent) engineering graduate from a Govt. recognized University/Institute.

Experience:

Candidates should have relevant post-qualification experience in planning, preparation of technical specifications, administration of contracts, installation, testing, commissioning, and statutory approvals of electric Traction/ HV Power systems in railways/metros /other PSUs / private sector. Also preferably be experienced with latest electrical/rolling stock technologies of urban & suburb Rail Systems.

For General Manager: Applicants should have a minimum of 20 years of relevant post-qualification experience at the Executive Level in a reputed private organization OR 17 years of relevant postqualification experience at the Executive level in Government / PSU.

For Addl. General Manager: Applicants should have a minimum of 18 years of relevant postqualification experience at the Executive Level in a reputed private organization OR 16 years of relevant post-qualification experience at the Executive level in Government / PSU.

GMRC Recruitment 2024 Age Limit

• For General Manager: 55 years for a contract basis 58 years for deputation 62 years of a post-superannuation basis
• For Addl. General Manager: 53 years for a contract basis 58 years for deputation 62 years of a post-superannuation basis

• IDA pay scale 120000-280000/100000-260000
• For post-superannuation basis – On consolidated pay basis

GMRC Recruitment 2024 General Conditions

• The number of posts indicated above may vary based on further assessment of requirements.
• Apart from the pay, other benefits will also be paid as per the Company Policy.
• Eligible Officials / Staff working in GMRC who have completed a minimum of two years of service as of 20/03/2024 at present designation & grade may apply through the proper channel
• The age limit will not be applicable to GMRCL employees. However, age relaxation will not apply to officials re-employed in GMRCL after superannuation.
• Candidates after selection are likely to be posted at Ahmedabad / Gandhinagar/ Surat or any other projects of GMRC, anywhere in Gujarat. For IDA/CDA scale employees the % of HRA may vary according to the place of posting as per Government guidelines and as per company policy
• Reservations Rules shall be followed as per regulations of the Government of Gujarat
• The selected candidates will be extended medical coverage and personal accident insurance coverage apart from other entitlements as per governing policies of the GMRCL
• Candidates from private organizations should submit copy of their CTC breakup as proof at the time of online application. Candidates from Private organizations shall be considered for arriving at the current CTC. Without CTC break up, applications will not be considered for the position applied
• Candidates who have appeared for interviews conducted by GMRC for the above-said posts on an earlier occasion need not send their applications again unless there is a change in the eligibility criteria.
• Prescribed qualifications are the minimum requirements and mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called to interview
• The experience is post qualification and the minimum required. Mere possession of minimum experience does not confer any right for interview /selection
• Any canvassing by or on behalf of the candidates or to bring political or other outside influence with regard to selection/appointment shall be a disqualification

Selection Process for GMRC Recruitment 2024

• Based on eligibility, candidates meeting the criteria will be called for an interview.
• Any request for a change in date or venue shall not be entertained.
• The document verification of candidates shall be done before the Interview. The candidates are required to carry their original certificates to facilitate the document verification, failing which the candidate shall not be allowed to attend the Interview
