Applications are open for the position of Junior Research Fellow in a time-bound research project conducted by the Department of Food Processing Technology at this institute. The project, titled "Design and Development of extrusion-based pilot scale continuous process technology for jaggery making," is under the supervision of Dr. Amit Baran Das and is sponsored by the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India.
The selected candidate will receive a consolidated compensation of Rs. 37,000 per month, along with HRA as per institute rules. Accommodation in on-campus hostels and mess facilities are available subject to availability. The tenure for this position is 24 months, and applicants must have a degree in Food Engineering/Food Technology or M. Tech in related disciplines with a minimum of 60% in their last qualifying degree.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis software, as well as knowledge of HPLC, GC, and Rheometer, is desired. The age limit for applicants is 28 years, with relaxation up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped/Visually Handicapped and female applicants.
