GBPNIHE Recruitment 2024
The GBPNIHE Recruitment 2024 invites applications for two positions: Technology Associate and Senior Project Fellow at the Govind Ballabh Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment. Candidates for the Technology Associate role must hold a 1st Class Master’s Degree and a Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Social Sciences, or Environmental Science, along with five years of relevant R&D experience in the rural Himalayan region. For the Senior Project Fellow position, applicants need a Master's degree in Forestry or Environmental Sciences and similar experience. The age limit for both roles is between 35 and 45 years, with the last date for applications being October 16, 2024.
The selection process includes the possibility of relaxing minimum qualifications for exceptional candidates, and the Institute reserves the right to adjust the number of positions available. Applicants must provide original documents and photocopies related to their qualifications and experience. Candidates can apply online by sending their applications via email by 5:00 PM on October 16, 2024, or attend a walk-in interview on October 18, 2024, starting at 10:00 AM. Qualification for GBPNIHE Recruitment 2024
- Technology Associate: 1 st Class Master’s Degree and Ph.D. in Life Science/Social Science/ Environmental Science from a recognized University. Five years’ experience in R&D based project handling in rural Himalayan region with proven publications
- Senior Project Fellow: Master’s degree in Forestry/Environmental Sciences, Five years’ experience in R&D based project work in rural Himalayan region with proven publications
Nature of Work for GBPNIHE Recruitment 2024
- Technology Associate: Assisting PI and Co-PI in data synthesis, report writing and data assessment.
- Senior Project Fellow: Assisting PI and Co-PI in field sample and data collection, report writing, and any other scientific/technical jobs that may be assigned by PI/CoPIs.
Selection Process for GBPNIHE Recruitment 2024
- Minimum requirements of qualifications and/or experience can be relaxed in respect of exceptionally outstanding candidates.
- The Institute reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of positions, to fill up or not to fill up any or all the posts or to shortlist and select the candidates in any suitable position depending upon the qualification and experience required for the said post.

- Candidates must bring original documents pertaining to their educational qualifications & experience along with one set of photocopies. The experience will not be considered without an experience certificate.
- The selected candidate(s) are expected to join immediately.
- The selected candidate is liable to be posted anywhere in India.
- No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the Interview.
- Institute reserve the right to disengage the manpower at any time without assigning any reasons thereof.
- The engagement is purely temporary in nature.
- In case of any dispute/ambiguity that may occur in the process of selection, the decision of the Institute in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection, and the conduct of examination/ interview will be final and no query or correspondence will be entertained in this connection from any individual or his/her agency.
- Canvassing in any form will be treated as disqualification.
