Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling up of 6 (six) posts of Stenographer Grade-III in the Principal Seat of the Gauhati High Court in the usual scale of (PB-2) in the Scale of Rs. 14000-70000/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 7400/- plus other allowances as admissible under the rules.

Qualification for Gauhati High Court Recruitment 2024

• A candidate must possess a Bachelors degree from a recognized University with a diploma in Stenography in English with minimum speed of 80 wpm in shorthand and 30 wpm on a computer.
• Due weightage shall be given to a law graduate.
• Proof of Residency A candidate must possess a valid Registration Number of Employment Exchange for the State of Assam.

Pay Scale for Gauhati High Court Recruitment 2024

Pay scale of (PB-2) in the Scale of Rs. 14000-70000/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 7400/- plus other allowances as admissible under the rules.

• For all others: Rs. 500/-

Selection Procedure for Gauhati High Court Recruitment 2024

• Written Examination (Descriptive Type) for 100 marks of 2 hours duration on answer scripts testing the English Proficiency (80 marks) on the touchstone of Composition, Essay, Grammar as well as knowledge of Assamese language (20 marks).
• The Written examination will be of qualifying nature and marks obtained therein will not be considered while preparing the final select list.
• Viva voce/Interview of 30 marks. Candidates in the ratio of 1:3 (3 candidates for 1 post) will be called to appear in the interview.
