Applications are invited for the position of Teaching Associate in Veterinary Pathology, offering a fixed salary of Rs.40,000 per month for a temporary period of six months. Candidates must hold a B.V.Sc. & A.H./B.V.Sc. degree with at least a second division, along with an M.V.Sc. degree in Veterinary Pathology with a minimum OCPA of 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks.
Additionally, proficiency in Punjabi language at the Matric level is required, with NET qualification and a publication in NAAS rated journal necessary for candidates with a Master's degree. However, Ph.D. holders with relevant qualifications may be exempt from NET provided they meet specific publication criteria.
Job responsibilities include teaching undergraduate students, conducting post-mortem examinations, clinical duties, extension activities, and other assigned tasks. Interested candidates should submit their applications along with necessary documents by April 30, 2024, with interviews to be conducted at the Department of Veterinary Pathology, College of Veterinary Science, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana. Original certificates must be presented during the interview, and no TA/DA will be provided.

Qualifications Details for GADVASU Recruitment 2024
- B.V.Sc. & A.H./B.V.Sc. with at least second division.
- M.V.Sc. degree in Veterinary Pathology with a minimum OCPA of 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks.
- Matric level certificate in Punjabi language (if not, the candidate may require to pass the same within one year of appointment)
- Candidates having Master's degree, NET shall be compulsory along with one publication in NAAS (National Academy of Agricultural Sciences) rated refereed journal for recruitment to the post of Teaching Fellow/Associate in the discipline in which NET is conducted.
- Essentiality of NET can be waived off for the candidate holding Ph.D. degree provided it has been done with course work as prescribed by the UGC Regulation 2009, and the candidate has at least two full length publications having a NAAS rating not less than 4, on the last date of submission of application. Those candidate with Ph. D degree without course work will not qualify for NET exemption.
- A candidate who may not possess Master's degree in Veterinary Pathology but possesses a Ph.D. degree in Veterinary Pathology (required at Master's level) shall be eligible for the post. Such a candidate must have obtained a minimum OCPA of 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks at Master's level in the allied filled.
- In case the candidate with NET/Ph.D is not available the candidate with M.V.Sc. in relevant subject may be considered and designated as Graduate Teaching Assistant in place of Teaching Fellow/Associate
