East Central Railway Recruitment 2024 Vacancy Details
Applications are invited from the eligible and outstanding sportspersons in the prescribed format (attached) for filling up of 21 (Twenty One) vacancies
East Central Railway Recruitment 2024 Qualification
- For the post of Pay Level 4/5 - Minimum Graduation in any Discipline from a recognized University.
- For the post of Pay Level 2/3 - Passed l2th (+2 stage) or its Equivalent Examination OR Passed Matriculation plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship OR Passed Matriculation plus ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT OR Passed 10" from a recognized Board may also eligible to be posted as Tech-III. However the training period for appointees will be 03 years unless they pass /possess ITI in the relevant trade in which case it will be 06 months.
- Diploma in Engineering will not be considered as an alternative higher qualification against ITI.
- Persons if appointed to the category of Clerk-cum-Typist should acquire Typing proficiency Test of 30 w.p.m. in English or 25 w.p.n. in Hindi within a period of four years from the date of appointment and till such time their appointments to this category will be provisional
- For the post of Pay Level 1 (Basic Pay 18000/-) – 10th Pass from any recognized Board OR ITI OR equivalent OR National Apprenticeship Certicicate (NAC) granged by NCVT.
East Central Railway Recruitment 2024 Age Limit
The age limit will be 18-25 years. (The age of sports person will be reckoned as on 01.07.2024) No relaxation in upper or lower age limit will be given.
East Central Railway Recruitment 2024 Pay Scale
Pay Level 2/3, Basic Pay 19900/21700 & Pay Level 4/5, Basic Pay 25500/29200- ; 10 (Ten) vacncies in Pay Level 1, Basic Pay 18000 in ECR HQ/Hajipur and total 25 (Twenty Five) vacancies in Pay Level 1, Basic Pay 18000 in all the 5- Divisions i.e. Dhanbad, Danapur. DDU, Sonepur and Samastipur) against Sports Quota (Open Advertisement).

Selection Process for East Central Railway Recruitment 2024
- The sportsperson (Male/Female) to be appointed shall fulfill the minimum medical norms after examination by Railway Medical Authority for the post for which he/she has to be considered for appointment.
- Selection will be based on performance in Trial, evaluaton of Sports achievements, evaluation of Educational Achievements etc. as per rule/istruction of Railway administration.
- Only the candidates declared FIT in the Trial will be considered for next stage of selection.
- No marks shall be given to the candidates who declared UNFIT in the Trial for their sports achievements, etc. No communication shall be entertained from candidates in this regard.
- The candidate may have to stay for 2-3 days during TRIAL for which he/she has to make his/her own arrangement. No TA/DA/Accommodation will be provided for attending seletion procedure.
- Dope test can be done if need arises.
- Videography will be conducted of all field trial to maintain transparency.
- Date, venue and time of Trial will be intimated to the eligible candidate by post and will also be posted on our website. Candidates are advised to keep track on our website. The venue for trial fixed by East Central Railway will be binding and final. Request for change of venue by the candidate shall NOT be entertained. The decision of East Central Railway in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications will be final and binding on the candidates.
- Panel will be prepared on the basis of merit. In case more than one sportspersons secured the same marks, preference will be given to younger candidate to decide the merit.

Application Fees for East Central Railway Recruitment 2024
- For all candidates: 500/- (Rupess Five Hundred Only). 400/- (Rupess Four Hundred Only) will be refunded to candidates actually appearing in the trial.
- For candidates belonging to SC/ST, Women, Minorities and Economic Backward Classes: : 250/- (Rupess Two Hundred Fifty Only). 250/- (Rupess Two Hundred Fifty Only) will be refunded to candidates actually appearing in the trial.
