Integrated Test Range (ITR), a prestigious laboratory under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), is seeking applications from young and talented Indian Nationals for Research Fellowships in Electronics and Communication, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, and Information Technology.
For Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions, candidates should hold a B.E/B.Tech degree with a valid GATE score or an M.E/M.Tech degree with first division at both graduate and post-graduate levels. For Research Associate (RA) positions, candidates must possess a PhD or equivalent degree in Computer Science & Engineering or Information Technology, or hold an M.E/M.Tech degree with three years of relevant experience and at least one publication in a Science Citation Indexed Journal.

Qualifications Details for DRDO Recruitment 2024
Junior Research Fellow: B. E / B.Tech. in first division withvalid GATE score. or M.E / M.Tech. in first division both at Graduate and Post Graduate levels.
Research Associate: PhD or equivalent degree Or ME/M.Tech. and 03 (Three) years of Research, Teaching and Design & Development experience plus publication of at least one research paper in Science Citation indexed (SCI) Journal.
Age Limit for DRDO Recruitment 2024
Candidates must possess a valid email address and an active mobile number to facilitate communication during the entirety of the recruitment process. The age limit for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions is 28 years and 35 years for Research Associate (RA) positions, as of June 5, 2024, with age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates as per the applicable rules.
Pay Scale for DRDO Recruitment 2024
The fellowship emoluments for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions are Rs. 37,000 per month, while for Research Associate (RA) positions, it's Rs. 67,000 per month, inclusive of House Rent Allowance (HRA) and medical benefits as per regulations. The JRF position is temporary with a maximum tenure of five years. Initially, the tenure is for two years, extendable to Senior Research Fellow (SRF) for the remaining three years based on satisfactory performance, assessed according to DRDO guidelines.
Selection Process for DRDO Recruitment 2024
- The Interview will be conducted through Video Conferencing OR Physical Mode for shortlisted candidates only. SMS/ Emall will be sent to the shortlisted candidates regarding Mode/Date/ Timing of Interview
- The selected candidates need to bring original certificates of proof of date of birth, mark sheet, GATE/ NET certificate, degree certificate, caste certificate (if applicable) and testimonials and a set of self attested copies for verification. Canvassing by any means will terminate the candidature and action will be taken as deemed fit. Police verification/Medical Test/ Antecedents of selected candidate will be carried out/verified as per Govt. rules.

They have to mention the Subject in Block Letters-APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF JRF or RA It is important for the candidates to submit their application form and supporting documents as an attachment in a SINGLE pdf only.
- The application form should be typewritten and scanned as pdf after signature. Handwritten Application will not be accepted.
- Candidate working in Govt/Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous Bodies should attach 'NOC' from their respective department alongwith their application form.
- Incomplete/ partially filled applications will not be accepted. Also, the candidature is liable to be rejected if any mismatch is noticed in details regarding qualification, branch, percentage of marks on non-fulfillment of any of the above criteria. The candidates need to submit the application form along with all certificates and testimonials in softcopy (Scanned Copy) at [email protected] failing which the candidature will be rejected.
