The Department of Electronics Engineering at this institute is seeking young Scientists/Engineers for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF) positions under a DRDO-sponsored research project titled "FxxN".
For JRF, three positions are available, requiring candidates with B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc. with First Division along with NET/GATE qualification or M.E./M.Tech in First Division, specializing in Radar Systems, Electronics/Microwave Engineering, RF Systems, Image Processing (IP), Electronics Instrumentation AI (ML/DL)/CT & Software Defined Radar (SDK).
The positions are temporary for three years or until the project's completion. For SRF, two positions are available with a maximum age limit of 30 years and a consolidated monthly stipend of 42,000/-. Qualifications Details for DIAT Recruitment 2024
Junior Research Fellow: B.E./ B.Tech/ M.Sc. with First Division with NET/GATE or M.E./M.Tech in First Division both at Graduate & Post Graduate level.
Senior Research Fellow:
- Strong hands-on design knowledge in CST studio/HFSS, MATLAB with radar/IP tools, VHDL/IP-core/SDK for real-time DSP/RSP and SDR-based system design
- Familiar with RF instruments and advanced FPGA/SDR platforms
- Having technical publications in Q1 journals
Specialization: Radar Systems, Electronics/Microwave engineering, RF Systems, Image processing (IP), Electronics Instrumentation AI (ML/Dl)/CT & Software-defined radar (SDK). Addition to the above, a minimum 02 years of research/ teaching/ industrial experience in the relevant fields is mandatory to the position of Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
Age Limit for DIAT Recruitment 2024
- The Department of Electronics Engineering seeks young Scientists/Engineers for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF) positions under a DRDO-sponsored project. JRF applicants must be under 28 years, while SRF applicants should not exceed 30 years of age.
- The prescribed date for determining the upper age limit, educational qualifications and/or experience shall be the last date for submitting applications is 12th April 2024. The upper age limit is relaxable up to 05 years for SC/ST, Women & PwBD, and 03 years for OBC (NCL) candidates

Selection Process for DIAT Recruitment 2024
- The mode of the interview will be “in-person” or “via video conferencing” and whichever is suitable to DIAT and shall be intimated to the shortlisted candidates
- The selected candidate is required to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer letter
- Based on their suitability for the project, the applicants will be called for an interview (in person or via video conference). The shortlisted (for the interview) candidate will be individually informed via email. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview of any mode.
