Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT) has announced recruitment for one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position, with a monthly stipend of Rs. 37,000 plus House Rent Allowance (HRA) and possible hostel accommodation.

Qualification for DIAT Recruitment 2024
- B.E./ B.Tech/ M.sc or equivalent in First division with Net/GATE. OR
- M.E./ M.Tech in First Division both at Graduate and Post graduate level.
- Materials Science/ Materials Engg./ Mechanical Engg./ Metallurgy/ Aeronautical Engg. or equivalent
Salary for DIAT Recruitment 2024
- The monthly stipend payable for the mentioned position is Rs. 37,000/- plus House Rent Allowance (HRA) as applicable.
- Hostel accommodation may be provided subject to the availability on payment basis
- In addition to the monthly stipend, medical facilities limited to MI Room facilities shall be extended to the incumbent.
Age Limit for DIAT Recruitment 2024
- The crucial date for determining the upper age-limit is 10th April, 2024.
- Upper age-limit is relaxable up to 05 years for SC/ST, Women & PWD and 03 years for OBC (NC)/ candidates.
- The upper age limit for the positions mentioned in the advertisement is not to exceed 28 years
Terms and Conditions for DIAT Recruitment 2024
- Offer of JRF position does not confer any right for absorption in DIAT (DU), Pune.
- The qualification prescribed/ experience gained should have been obtained from recognized Universities / Institutions/Industries.
- The prescribed educational qualifications are the bare minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle the candidates to be considered at every stage of the selection process.
- Therefore, it is in the interest of the candidates to mention all the qualifications and experience in the application clearly with supporting documents.
Selection Procedure for DIAT Recruitment 2024
- Based on the suitability for the project, the applicants will be called for an interview (in person or video conference).
- The shortlisted (for the interview) candidate will be individually informed via email.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview of any mode.
- In case of a large number of applications, based on the recommendations of the Screening Committee, the Principle Investigator may restrict the number of candidates to be called for the interview to a reasonable limit after taking, the qualifications and experience over and above the minimum prescribed in the advertisement, into consideration.
- Selected candidates are required to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer letter.
- Mode of interview will be “in-person” or “via video conferencing” and whichever is suitable to DIAT and shall be intimated to the shortlisted candidates.
