Position, Vacancy for DGCA Recruitment 2024
Engagement of Consultant (FOIs), in various categories, on contract basis, in the Directorate General of Civil Aviation-regarding
- Consultant {Senior Flight Operations Inspector (Aeroplane)}: 02
- Consultant {Flight Operations Inspector (Aeroplane)}: 10
- Consultant {Flight Operations Inspector (Helicopter)}: 05
Qualification for DGCA Recruitment 2024
- Passed 10+2 or higher qualification like Graduation or Post Graduation etc. with Physics and Mathematics as subjects from a recognized Board or University or Institute or requirements as per Schedule 2 – 47A GSR No 452 (E) - dated 11-6-1993 shall apply.
- Valid Indian Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) issued by DGCA on Civil Aircrafts used for Air Transport. Total flying experience not less than 5000 hours on Aircrafts, out of which not less than 1500 hours as PIC on Civil Aircrafts used for Air Transport
- Pilot in Command Rating (PIC) on Civil Aircrafts used for Air Transport with All Up Weight (AUW) above 5700 Kgs. Valid Instrument Rating (IR) on Civil Aircrafts used for Air Transport endorsed on licence (vide public notice DTL/MISC/2017(8)-L-II-DTL dated 13/10/2023)
- Valid Class I Medical assessment and in case of any limitation it will be subject to approval of Medical Directorate of DGCA. Accident free record in the preceding 05 year from the date of application (in case record for complete period is not available a selfdeclaration for the same may be submitted).
- Should not be BA positive during last three years (a self-declaration for the same be submitted, especially for pilots who were flying abroad). NOC from parent employer, at the time of joining; if applicable.
Pay Scale for DGCA Recruitment 2024
Monthly Remuneration (in Rupees)
- Consultant {Senior Flight Operations Inspector (Aeroplane)}: 7,46,000/-
- Consultant {Flight Operations Inspector (Aeroplane)}: 5,02,800/-
- Consultant {Flight Operations Inspector (Helicopter)}: 2,82,800/-
Candidates who are medically unfit may be considered on fixed remuneration (FR) provided they have held ATP Licence issued by DGCA with a PIC rating on civil air transport aircrafts. The remuneration for the FOIs and SFOIs engaged under FR category will be Rs. 3, 80,000 and Rs.4, 40,000 respectively.
Age Limit for DGCA Recruitment 2024
- The upper age limit for applying for the said engagement shall be 58 years for Consultant {Dy. CFOI (A)} and 64 years for Consultant {SFOI (A)}, Consultant {FOI (A)} & Consultant {FOI (H)} on the date of issuing of Vacancy Circular. Matriculation or equivalent certificate from a recognized board in support of age proof is required.
- The upper age limit is relaxable up to a period of five years for the FOIs, in various categories subject to upper age limit 64 years and who have experience of minimum one (01) year in preceding five (05) years in the DGCA.
Selection Procedure for DGCA Recruitment 2024
- A Scrutiny Committee will scrutinize the applications and the candidates who fulfill/meet the essential requirements for Consultant (FOI) against which she/he applied, will be shortlisted and called for documents verification and interview thereof.
- The documents verification and interview thereof will tentatively be held in the Last week of May, 2024. The selected candidates will be required to join at place of posting within seven (07) days from the date of receipt of Offer of Engagement letter and no extension shall be allowed

- Before applying for the said engagement, interested candidates are advised to carefully read this Vacancy Circular and ensure that she/he possesses the essential requirements and have the original requisite documents in support of the information/particulars furnished in the online application form for the said engagement.

- After successful submission of online application, the applicants will receive a copy of duly filled-in application form on the e-mail ID provided by them.
- Applicants are required to take a print of that application form, paste their current photograph (duly sign it across) and sign the application (in the space provided) and send it, along-with No Objection Certificate from their employer (authorized signatory), if any, in the space provided in the form and the following required legible,
