Applications are being sought from Indian Nationals for the position of Project Associate in a DST-Inspire faculty project led by Dr. Krishnakanta Mondal, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics and Astrophysics at the University of Delhi.
The project, titled "Effect of Nitrogen on industrially important ZnO/Cu Catalyst: Structure, Interface, and Activity for Methanol Production from CO2+H2," aims to investigate the impact of nitrogen on ZnO/Cu catalysts for methanol production.
The selected candidate will receive a fellowship of Rs. 38440/- per month and must possess an M.Sc. degree in Physics, Computational Physics, Materials Science, Computational Chemistry, or Chemistry with a minimum aggregate score of 55% from a recognized institution. Qualification for Delhi University Recruitment 2024
Essential Education Qualifications: M.Sc. (Physics/Computational Physics/Materials Science/Computational Chemistry/Chemistry) with a minimum of 55% aggregate score (5.5-grade points on a scale of 10) from a recognized university/Institution.
Desirable:
Basic knowledge of Density Functional Theory (DFT) based methods, fluency in softwares like Quantum Espresso, Gaussian and GPAW and Linux based operating systems, research experience in the modeling of transition metal based catalysts for energy harvesting applications (CO2 to methanol production, hydrogen evolution Reaction (HER) and oxygen evolution Reaction (OER)).
