Applications are being accepted for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for a time-bound research project focusing on the development of Nano-emulsified essential oil and Plant Metabolites based formulations against Spodoptera frugiperda. The project, spanning three years, is a collaboration between the Departments of Chemistry and Zoology.
The ideal candidate must hold a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, or Life Sciences with at least 60% marks or an M.Sc. degree in Chemistry/Zoology with a minimum of 55% marks, along with qualifying CSIR-UGC NET (JRF/LS) or GATE.
The age limit for the JRF position is 28 years, with a relaxation of up to 5 years for candidates from specified categories. The selected candidate will receive a fellowship of Rs. 37,000 per month plus HRA as per CSIR-HRDG norms. Desirable qualifications include familiarity with essential oil extraction, nanoemulsion synthesis, and insect rearing/bioassays. Qualifications Details for Delhi University Recruitment 2024
- As per CSIR guidelines for Research Schemes/Sponsored Schemes; CSIR-HRDG website: www.csirhrdg.res.in The candidate should have a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry/Botany/Zoology/Life Sciences with minimum 60% marks. A M.Sc. degree in Chemistry/Zoology or an equivalent degree with at least 55% marks and should have cualified CSIR-LIGC NET (IRF/LS) or GATE (valid qualified score).
- Basic knowledge of extraction of essential oil from plants, synthesis and characterisation of nanoemulsion, as well as basic knowledge of the insect rearing/bioassays.
Age Limit for Delhi University Recruitment 2024
The age limit for the Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position is set at 28 years. However, there is an age relaxation of up to 5 years for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Women, and Physically Handicapped categories.
Pay Scale for Delhi University Recruitment 2024
