Applications are being accepted for the Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position within a Science and Engineering Board (SERB) sponsored project focusing on the functional characterization of mitochondrial Alternative OXidase (mtAOX1a) in oxidative stress alleviation in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The position offers a monthly fellowship of Rs. 31,000 plus HRA for the first two years, and Rs. 35,000 plus HRA for the third year, with a tenure of three years.
Candidates must hold a Master of Science degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Biochemistry, or related fields, with desirable qualifications including research experience in Yeast Genetics, Yeast Cell Biology, and Molecular Biology.
Preference will be given to candidates who have cleared NET/GATE or equivalent examinations. Successful candidates may apply for the regular Ph.D. program at the Central University of Tamil Nadu upon meeting the eligible criteria.
