The Central University of Punjab, Bathinda (CUPB) is inviting online applications from eligible candidates for regular posts of Professors, Associate Professors, and Assistant Professors.
The entry pay for Professors is Rs. 144200/- in the Academic Pay level 14, for Associate Professors it is Rs. 131400/- in the Academic Pay level 13A, and for Assistant Professors it is Rs. 57700/- in the Academic Pay level 10, all as per the 7th CPC. The qualification and experience required for teaching posts will be in accordance with the "UGC Regulations On Minimum Qualifications For Appointment Of Teachers And Other Academic Staff In Universities And Colleges And Measures For The Maintenance Of Standards In Higher Education, 2018" and its amendments from time to time.

Qualification for CUP Recruitment 2024
- For faculty positions of Department for Education and Department of Physical Education, in addition above, minimum eligibility conditions will be as per NCTE Regulations 2014 and its amendments from time to time for M.Ed. and M.P.Ed. respectively
- For Food Science and Technology specialization: Master’s degree and Ph.D. degree in Food Technology / Food Science & Technology / Food Processing Technology / Food Processing Engineering is required for Associate Professor;
- For Agribusiness specialization: Master’s degree, Ph.D. degree in Agribusiness is required for the post of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor.
Pay Scale for CUP Recruitment 2024
The Central University of Punjab, Bathinda (CUPB) invites Online Applications from eligible candidates for the regular posts of Professors (Entry pay of Rs. 144200/- in the Academic Pay level 14 as per 7 th CPC), Associate Professors (Entry pay of Rs. 131400/- in the Academic Pay level 13A as per 7 th CPC) and Assistant Professors (Entry pay of Rs. 57700/- in the Academic Pay level 10 as per 7 th CPC)
Age Limit for CUP Recruitment 2024
- No candidate will be considered beyond the age of 64 years for regular appointment. The age of the superannuation for all the posts will be as per UGC norms.
- Any candidate belonging to SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PWD, who wish to apply for any unreserved post, will not be given any relaxation of marks (10th/12th/Degrees/Diploma/NET etc.) and age etc.
Application fees for CUP Recruitment 2024
All candidates are required to deposit Application fee on the online portal @ Rs. 750/- for each post, they apply. However, the SC/ST/PWD/Women candidates are exempted from application fee. Applications incomplete or without signature, fee and other enclosures, may be summarily rejected
Selection Procedure for CUP Recruitment 2024
- The process of selection may be by a presentation/ seminar/interview or a combination thereof.
- The University reserves the right to place the curriculum vitae of any person for any post for the consideration of Selection Committee; to consider “in-absentia” or interview through “Video Conferencing”.
- The direct recruitment to the posts of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor in the University shall be on the basis of merit through all India advertisement and selections by the duly constituted Selection Committees.
