Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) is recruiting for 34 Safety Assistant positions with a salary ranging from Rs. 23,300 to Rs. 24,800 per month. Candidates must be below 30 years old as of June 11, 2024, with age relaxations available for OBC, SC/ST, and Ex-servicemen as per government guidelines.
Applicants must have passed SSLC, hold a one-year Diploma in Safety/Fire from a recognized institute, and have at least one year of relevant experience. The application fee is Rs. 200, except for SC/ST candidates. The selection process involves a Physical Test (30 marks) and a Practical Test (70 marks). Qualifications Details for CSL Recruitment 2024
- Pass in SSLC.
- One year Diploma in Safety/Fire from a Government recognized institute or Public Sector Undertaking
- Minimum one year training or experience in safety in a Public Sector Undertaking or Factory or Construction Company or Engineering Company
- The minimum qualification stipulated for the post must be from an Institute / Examination Board recognized by AICTE / appropriate statutory authority / State / Central Government.
- Those applicants having qualifications equivalent to any of the prescribed qualifications should submit Equivalency Certificate issued by the competent authority and without such certificate, their candidature shall not be considered
Age Limit for CSL Recruitment 2024
- The upper age limit prescribed for the post shall not exceed 30 years as on 11 June 2024, i.e. applicants should be born on or after 12 June 1994.
- The upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years for OBC (Non Creamy Layer) candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates in posts reserved for them.
- The upper age limit shall be relaxable for Ex-servicemen as per Government of India guidelines subject to a maximum age of 45 years.

Application Fee for CSL Recruitment 2024
Application fee of ₹ 200/- (Non – refundable, plus bank charges extra) should be remitted using the Online payment options (Debit card/Credit card/Internet Banking) which can be accessed through our Online application facility from 29 May 2024 to 11 June 2024. No other mode of payment shall be accepted.
All applicants for whom the fee is applicable i.e. except those belonging to SC/ST should pay the application fee as stipulated above. It is important to note that their candidature shall be considered only on receipt of application fee.
Selection Process for CSL Recruitment 2024
- The method of selection shall be through Practical test and Physical tests which shall be given 100% weightage as detailed under and marks awarded accordingly for final selection:
- Physical Test – 30 Marks
- Practical Test – 70 Marks
- Total - 100 Marks
- The practical tests shall be evaluated in grades which shall be converted into marks for final selection.

The application consists of two phases –One time Registration and submission of application against the post applicable. Applicants should not submit more than one application. Application once submitted shall be final.
- Applicants meeting the notified requirements may do the One time Registration in the SAP Online portal and submit their application. The facility to submit their application can be accessed through our website www.cochinshipyard.in (Career page CSL, Kochi) from 29 May 2024 to 11 June 2024. Application submitted direct or by any other mode shall not be accepted.
